I would be ok with his hire, I would be thrilled with the talent he could get and the training the players would get, but I am not thrilled with his conservative approach, I am from Cincy so I got to watch him a lot in Cleveland, I remember all the games they were leading and he went straight into being conservative the same thing he did at THE U, maybe he has learned ( we all don't know ) Coker sucked at getting talent but he let them play!!! that why the team wanted him. My opinion if Butch would have stayed we might not have won that title, he is soooooooooooooooo conservative ITS UNREAL, remember we played ECU and was kicking *** ( he took out starters ) tried to bring them back in late and it didn't work .................. HE WENT TO CLEVELAND AND DID THE SAME DAM THING ( conservative as ******* ) ..... HE GOT GREEDY LIKE A LOT OF COACHES AND ******* E D UP.

P.S I wanna smack U fans that thought it was good for Golden and this staff to hire that High School coach ( ICE ) so U thought this horrible coaching staff was going to be helped by a High School coach ( Let me go hire a 5 year old!!! to help the 12 year old learn how to do yard work )

It took one thing for me to know everything I needed to know about Golden ( he hired Mario ) 3 weeks later Mario was gone LMFAO, with in a week later he hired Coley who had no experience of play calling ( HE DID NOT INTERVIEW ANYBODY ELSE ) that should have woke U up.


Time Ice Harris was going to help us LMFAO ( he was here when Shapiro was set up on campus with his tent ) he didn't see anything either..... JUST POOR **** PATHETIC ...... Truth hurts....... LMFAO hire a High School coach!!!!!!!!!! BUT HE KNOWS THE AREA ROFLMFAO SO DOES THE DRUG LORDS

Gus malzahn was a high school coach, so was chad morris and etc.

These guys became famous from coaching in high school and are now head coaches in college.

But this coaching staff had no clue ( hiring a High School coach at this time was a horrible decision) you bring in a High School coach to a team that has a great coaching staff, TELL ME WHAT ICE WAS GOING TO DO TO HELP THE CLOWNS? tell me I'M WAITING

I agree with most of what you say but your criticism of Butch for leaving for Browns job is blatantly wrong.... You have no idea how Paul Dee our AD at and the BOT were unfairly ******** him (someone who came on board and rebuilt the program after a death penalty type scandal... when no one else would take this job)

Let me ask you a question ... Would you have taken an offer from another employer (Browns) if they offered you 5 times more than ($5 million per year) what you were currently making, also knowing that your current employer had been playing hardball with you for almost an year without signing off a contract extension to a contract that was going to expire in less than 6 months???

This is not even factoring that the new job offered is an NFL opportunity... one that is offered to only the best in the college ranks ....less than 2% of college coaches at any given time!!

He only said Butch was conservative when he was in Cleveland. Big deal. And that was the NFL. He also said he wouldn't mind him hired.

butch is ahomerun, i just wish everyone could see it. if he by some miracle got hired you fence guys will say we were right in three years. you dont gotta be a genius x and o guy to say yo dalvin cook run straight. too easy with elite players and elite line of scrimmages. we do nit get the best players no more no matter how you slice it.

No, he admitted he was wrong strictly from the point of view of what he could have achieved at the U. Thus his added comment about "unfinished business".

But to fault him for leaving for the NFL??? You are wrong!!
