Butch Barry

I'm trying to remain objective and realistic. Manny isn't getting fired unless we lose out. He's definitely on the hot seat going into next year. Assuming we limp to the finish, I think he may end up overhauling the defensive side of the ball and cuts bait with Barry. Buys himself some more time. Still think there's a chance Enos gets a HC gig somewhere so he might be gone too.

Problem is Banda, Patke and Baker are all his guys so he’s not firing them, which means he will fire Rumph and Stoud which will accomplish nothing

Barry keeps Nelson at Left tackle as a excuse, so when we think he will be canned this will stop it. But that whole offensive line sucks not one player is doing well. They all are worst, always turning sideways when you supposed to play squared up. No one can handle one on one assignments always needs help and late off the ball constantly.

Stroud needs to go because the d line sucks. Rumph position is decent other than that Bandy play.

I’m not a huge fan of Barry but you can’t fire him this early.

The team has zero leadership on the offensive line - they all left. Even the old waste cases like Brown and Milo left.

He inherited all his guys - our supposed left tackle for this year coach Barry doesn’t view as even an adequate 3rd string center. Donaldson is apparently a fat pansy.

There was(is?) a clear strategy in my view - play guys who are motivated and young and bring in young athletes to sit and develop. The results have been incredibly ugly. I’m not sure it was the correct course but there aren’t any experienced guys left on the team.

There are zero good options today personnel wise. The next coach to come in just restarts the process all over again with guys leaving.

I don’t have any answers here but firing Barry doesn’t turn this line around anytime soon unfortunately.
