Butch Ain't Coming Back

He said--the basketball players had the girls do their term papers than they would run the train on her.

lol...when times get hard, people look for any reason to sue. Couldn't make it to the leauge, didn't care about school when they were in school b/c they just knew sports was going to buy them a mansion, 3 Lambo's and helicopter on the roof of their pad...god forbid they don't make it, b/c making it is not an option; but, now they need to sue b/c they should've cared about school more when the education was free in the first place? lol. These clowns. Then they blame others for their F ups. It's just like these old heads suing the NFL for concussions. Never mind you probably got concussed in Pop Warner, and high school and college before you made it to the league...the same league that brought you notoriety and paid your pockets....but, b/c you blew all of your money and invested in car washes and get-rich(er) schemes, now you wanna sue a multi-billion dollar industry b/c you tricked your money off??? FOH to all of them.

I laughed at Butch telling them if they wanted an education, they should have picked an ivy league school. Nothing inaccurate there.

They were there to play football. Butch coached football. He wasn't their academic adviser, wasn't their priest, wasn't their career counselor. He was letting them know that they were going to play football.

Bad, Butch, bad, bad Butch.

Buncha retards who didn't make it big in the league.

But it's gotta be Butch's fault.

In the past 12 years, Saban has had 22 first rounders go to the league.

In ten years, Butch had 34, 28 of those his recruits.

I don't want to hear it.

Clearly you did not play a sport in college if you really dont think the coach is not in anyway responsible for his layers academics

Wait a second now. You're telling me this board isn't full of ex-players, head coaches and division I athletic directors? Half these blowhards will be ****ed if Shalala isn't replaced with Roger Goodell.

Nice strawman argument **** cake.

That's not what he said at all.

Why does it matter where a coach comes from? I don't give a **** if a coach comes from South America, China, or Russia as long as they win. Each coach or player is different. I am sensing a NJ bias here even when some of our greats have come from that state. It's like the same people that were saying we don't want another quarterback out of Miami Northwestern after Jacory Harris. Then Teddy B comes around, people shout that same bs nonsense, we don't get him, and look what happens.

No statistical pattern of our successful coaching and a state where they were born.
Schnellenberger: IN and KY
JJ: Texas
Erickson: Washington
Butch: Oklahoma
Coker: Oklahoma
Shannon: Florida
Golden: NJ

Butch isn't coming back because he's a mediocre coach who is horribly overwhelmed on gameday and who's merits come from other coaches with his recruits.

Plus 15-17 in the ACC.

But yeah a horrible academic scandal he was obviously a big part of it also didn't help his case.

Coker coached the Sugar Bowl in 2000-2001 and beat defending champion FSU? That's news to me.

No, I didn't play football in college. I was with SF in combat, and my personal, documented record was 44-0.

Better than Golden, and I guarantee, better than whatever team you played for.
