We were playing against Wisconsin AND the refs.

Fair officiating maybe win, or at least it's closer.

Really? Part of it is on the coaches. The refs didn't run slant after slant after slant and a lack of calls wasn't the reason for the completions. Sorry, Counselor. The refs are part of it but we have to look inside as well, particularly on defense.

^^^This all day. Rosier is what he is and I didn't expect much from him but our final 4 games, from UVA on, show serious problems defensively and no improvements.

Refereeing is an issue but I'm not going to pretend that we don't have internal issues to fix. I'm hopeful Richt won't either. He's too good a coach for that.

Special teams, lb’ers, and the whole offensive scheme sucks for now. We will see how this turns out, but as of NOW, this staff is failing and horribly. We need to start with an offensive coordinator, and the defense needs an overhaul, start with the coaches!

The front seven did a great job last night holding a terrific running game virtually in check even with being on the field for 2/3's of the game and some very questionable officiating. The offense put up more points on the No.1 defense in the county that anyone but *st, we lost to two very good football teams to end the season. If you can't see how close the program is now and how far they've come then I can't help you.

Blaming the refs is a ***** move. **** out of here. Hold the team and coaches accountable.

I was pretty upset last night. I've had sometime to comedown and reflect.
We have a few things to work on to move into the next level. But overall considering where the program was two years ago and where recruiting is headed...honestly feel positive about where we are.
As far as the bowl game...I'm certainly concerned about the offense BUT as coach macho pointed out we gained more yards than they allow by a good margin and our offensive output against them is similar to what OSU did against them. Don't know what that means as far as us becoming a top offense in the future. I have to believe that doing that without your top three players on offense means something.
Defense is what scares me the most. I think we did a good job containing their running game. It actually didn't kill us and when Wisconsin tried to just run we got off the field. The fact that Wisconsin beat us by throwing the ball is what is concerning. Not just because of this game but because it's been a trend to make just about every QB (unless they play for VT or ND) to look like the best QB in country.
This is something that if they don't fix will keep us from getting to the next level.

Yeah it's all the refs fault not the 9 fingered Tightend that kept catching the ball or big running backs that wore defense out. Rickt had better get over hump next year or may be hot seat.
