I'm not sure what he got as a result of being fired from FAU, only that he was making $775k/year - pretty low for a head coaching position.

…at times? The guy is a micro-managing savant. He overthinks decisions like no other coach that I’ve ever seen.

Deon is a man of decision. Gets hired and two days later already hired a wide open offense, modern OC.

Meanwhile, in Coral Gables, our HC hasn’t even pulled the trigger on firing the abomination of an OC that he took forever to hire. You can’t make this up.

Mario has to be waiting on an NFL guy. That's the only thing that explains it.

Fits with rumors of kids pushing their signing back to Feb, just after the NFL season is over.

We've been told for weeks that Gattis is gone. So Mario's been talking to people about the job for weeks. There's absolutely nothing stopping him from announcing a college coach.

In the meantime, he's sending dead man walking Gattis out on the trail just like he did with Manny's staff.
