Buckeyes dealing with O-line injury ahead of Miami game

Some of you guys talking about having friends that are Ohio State fans… I don’t understand how. I try to separate college football from everyday life but I’ve found that it’s impossible to be friends with their fans. Just something about them.

Same can be said for ND, FSU, UF, and recently in the last 3-4 years, I’ve added Michigan fans to that list.

My wife has family from Ohio and I have to avoid those people. Can’t stand being around them in general and coincidentally, they’re OSU fans and it gets worse when they talk about football.
I live in Texas and I would lump in U of Texas fans.

It could be addition by subtraction with Tegra being out. While PFF is somewhat unreliable, here are the PFF grades for each lineman for the year:

LT Austin Siereveld – 84.8
LG Luke Montgomery – 74.6
C Carson Hinzman -71.8
RG Tegra Tshabola – 55.5
RT Phillip Daniels – 68.2

He is definitely the weak link on the line and he was benched for Van Sickle halfway through the Indiana game. Regardless of the injury, I would've been surprised if he started the game against Miami after his performance against Indiana. He has the physical talent, but he misses the reads and pickups. The coaching staff was too patient with him all year. However, the fact that he started all year may mean Van Sickle or Padilla are worse options and the coaching staff knows it. Either way, we will find out next week.

No such thing as addition by subtraction in the trenches.. if that was the case he would’ve never been the starter in the first place or lost his job already.

Agree. Idk bout that addition by subtraction talk when it in comes to the trenches . OSU going against an ELITE dline. If he a weak link OSU should know others are going to crumble. Moten Justin Scott Blount blay going to be mauling the interior. Putting even more pressure on them tackles and julian. For our

Then what does say about his backups... OSU Fans are Funny.

Wait they rotating right guards? That will be a disaster if true.....but Day will run Tempo al game. Or try too at least.
This will sound strange, but I am somewhat thankful that Jeff Brohm put it to us on two scripted opening drives. I’m going to guess that Hethermen learned a lot from that experience and has lost sleep thinking about it. I seriously doubt anything like that is going to happen in the Cotton Bowl.

Ohio State has been one of the most dominant teams in the trenches this season, but the Buckeyes will be shorthanded up front when they face Miami next Wednesday.

Head coach Ryan Day confirmed, via Dave Biddle, that starting right guard Tegra Tshabola will miss the next couple of weeks with an injury. In his place, Gabe Van Sickle and Josh Padilla are expected to split reps at right guard against the Hurricanes.

Tshabola, a redshirt senior, has been a veteran on Ohio State’s offensive line since 2024. He has 28 career starts and started all 13 games this season.

With this game likely decided in the trenches, it’s a notable development. Miami boasts one of the best defensive lines in the country, and Ohio State’s decision to rotate at right guard could give the Hurricanes an edge up front heading into the matchup.

Tegra Tshabola will miss the rest of the season. Their season ends Dec 31st.

Our DL will get winded, Day wants full credit when he does **** like this. Them boys too over confident, also this reminds me of the 03 game. OSU has the roster like Miami did back then but OSU at that time was turning the narrative or the power. Miami went south and OSU rose, I think people dont realize UM is rising and they may be here already. We just dont know it yet, and later down the road we will say holy **** this Miami team was better than we all thought.

oh what a surprise!

A Buckeye fan says the starter who started 12 games is not as good as their backup.

who could have seen that one coming?!?!
