Seems like the appropriate thread for this post.
During the Fiasco bowl I sat in a sports bar full of taint fans, because I live in Columbus. I've carried the hate for that night, that ref and that team ever since. Having been fortunate enough to live during those championship years, I felt gutted and cheated. It's been a long **** road to redemption.
Last night I was again in a bar full of taint fans, in Columbus, but this time I was in the band hired for the NYE celebration. Of course there were tvs everywhere, so I did my best to focus and reign in the waves of emotion through the night.
I can't explain the feeling of experiencing that win, in that context, watching all those sad faces. It was, in a word, glorious.
Did that exercise those demons - nah, F them. I will always hate them for what was stolen from the team and the fans.
