Whenever I see these athletes jumping up and down like that it irritates me. What the **** are they jumping for? It's your job to intercept the ball when you can. Do not let your excitement cause the team a possible victory!

I remember when this happened, one of the ESPN commentators started the clip with ‘’the NFL is now officially Grammatica free”

I’m not proud of it, but it’s the only time I’ve laughed at a career ending ACL tear.

Not sure when it was determined that a high five isn’t good enough anymore.

Maybe one of our guys can channel Gus Frerotte next year.

UM never gives up specific info, but it looked pretty nasty. Probably a broken/dislocated ankle with ligament damage.

On a side note, we need to coach and or legislate that stupid jump and bump celebration out of football. They’re always yapping about making the game safer but continue to allow guys to do that stupid **** and tear up knees and ankles.
Yep, I remember Berrios twisted his ankle vs VT in 2017 celebrating the same way with one of our assistant coaches.

Dude caught a forearm shiver, wasnt really a chestbump.. He went up for chestbump, the other dude went up for more playing time..
And if they’re not going up for that bump he doesn’t get his foot torn up. It’s stupid. I’m all for celebrating but I’ve seen at least 6 guys seriously injured doing that stupid ****. It’s not worth the risk.

I saw it mentioned somewhere that it was a foot injury. A common foot injury from rolling an ankle is a fractured fifth metatarsal. The tendon connecting the leg muscles to the fifth metatarsal are stronger than the bone. When you roll your ankle hard, you can actually break a piece of the bone off. Sometimes surgery is required and several months of recovery. I'm gonna guess that's what it was.
My man you do defense and orthopedics.
***** to attach the bone? What do you think?

Thanks but I'm not really that guy, just someone who's seen a few injuries in my time. AFAIK there are times when metal is involved in the recovery process. Like I said, I'm just guessing based on what I've heard.

A celebration injury after an INT in one of the games last year.

Think it was his knee when he landed awkwardly.

Florida State game.

Gurvan Hall checked him mid-air after Bolden's interception.

Landed awkwardly on his ankle. Wasn't his knee at all.
