Bubba Baxa 70 yard Practice FG

This is great for kickoff strength. Honestly, would rather him be 100% from 45 and in. Good to have the strength to kick at the end of the game if needed but still want the money range. That's where NFL kickers win and lose jobs, missing the kicks that are more frequent.

The kicking game should be fine for the next couple of years with this guy.

Most high school coaching staffs don't really have a special teams coach that can teach kicking technique. ****, a lot of college staffs don't either. When scouting a potential kicker, you have to almost always go on raw ability and hope you can hone accuracy with some practice reps. You can't coach leg strength but the hope is if you get a guy with a strong leg, you can refine his technique enough to improve his accuracy. Badgley wasn't really a very accurate guy when he first got here (he'd miss a 30 yarder and then nail a 48 yarder)but he's improved enough to be one of the nations top kickers as a senior.

True, I had a kicking coach who also trained Pat O'Donnell.
