For me, this is a clear case of expert the worst but hope for the best. On the one hand, history tells us pretty much everyone that can leave will. And that includes UFA types, let alone first few round guys.

On the other hand, this season is the first in a while where we’re actually bucking meaningful trends. I’m trying to unlearn the expectations associated with all the gross tendencies we’ve had for a long time (losses to inferior opponents, playing soft because its scold, laying down because season goals are gone, bye week blues, and the list goes on) and this group is giving me reason to believe we’re headed in the right direction.

So maybe a few of these guys will come back. Just one or two of the big dogs would be fantastic.

This is just opinion ( mostly ) but I think these kids know they’re close to something big and want to return. Blades was expecting a huge year and was all but gone , well then the season happened, Ford as well. Mix in the covid free year , the loaded portal and a top ten class.

Maybe the stars are aligning for once. Hopefully king stays leaning to come back , if so it’ll be on.

If King comes back....can he convince Phillips to stay? Or do you think he’s gone no matter what?

This. If king comes back I’d expect Bubba and Brevin are back. Roche and RT Williams are gone IMO. As for Phillips it depends on his draft grade. If he’s rounds 1-2 I’d say he’s gone. If he is anything less then I say he comes back
