Nickel won 2 state titles in Georgia biggest school classification. Georgia has awesome high school football. He led his team putting up good numbers. Im in with giving the gunslinger a shot.

He's got a game that works. It was his mental and how he processed defenses that needed to catch up. My opinion, he do just fine. Sooner or later we gotta give our own QBs the chance to play & develop. Otherwise why are we recruiting them.

At this point 2 years ago nobody thought Beck would be an option and people swore Emory would be next up. At this point last year nobody thought Mensah would be an option and again, it was Emory time! I say let things play out. We don’t know who will be available. No one is out of the picture on 11/3/2026. Especially if Mensah wins the Heisman and takes us on a deep playoff run.

One thing I know for sure is that if this staff doesn’t think Luke is the guy, then they will exhaust all options and be extremely aggressive in doing so. I think I’m going to sit back and let things play out.

I am not saying I want him but I think they might be more willing to go with someone who has started college football games to go with the talent that is going to be on this offense. I just don't see a obvious choice right now if Mensah doesn't come back and I hope to god he does. I just don't see them rolling the dice with Nickel with Toneys last year

Hopeful Dawson is a career OC at this point. Pay him what he wants and allow him to continue to focus on running his O while recruiting his QBs and not having to run the machine of modern college football program. Hopefully he sees Mario's madness and says, I'm good where I'm at and don't need to be the CEO.

To the conversation about the WR room and attrition..Ive been saying this since the beginning of the season. That room is becoming way too crowded with QUALITY depth. Very few scrubs if any at all.. You cant ask these kids to sit around until their 3rd year before they get real burn. Thats just not how it works anymore. I expect 2-3 kids to hit the portal especially if we get Wright and he reclassfies.

And before the, "Why cant they just compete bro!? They are soft!" crowd comes out.. In 2021, a sophomore WR at OSU named Jameson Williams was in a super crowded WR room full of 1st round WRs and he was the 5th guy...he transferred to Bama in 2022 and played one season and became a 1st round pick. Alot of times its not about talent..its a numbers game and opportunity. Welcome to the era of the transfer portal and 100 scholarship guys on the team.

Sellers is not a good QB. He is inaccurate. The coaching is so good this year, he already has thrown just as many INTs as last year and the year before. If he is a 1st/2nd rounder then the GM will be fired within 3 years. The Jets do have 3 1st rounders so could be possible He is the second coming of Anthony Richardson.

It's actually been something we've considered however you don't take a kid who's that much of a freak and put him at safety in today's college football. Old days it would absolutely be worth a look. Now, nah. Just spread the field and adapt your route tree for him to his strengths. I don't know what his speed looks like. But the only viable concern I can see with him is if he's peaked physically considering how big he already is or does he become a playmaking tight end who keeps growing. I've never paid attention to him beyond these last few months so I don't know what that looks like with him

Jadon Haselwood comes to mind. Hindsight being 20/20 he would have made a great Safety.

You realize you just proved my point with your exact words right? If you're not certain who those God to great guys are, than nothing has changed from why you justify not starting someone in house already. Because none of those dudes are head and shoulders someone that puts us in championship talks & that's the only way to justify it.


Other than Simmons who shows moments and plenty of other moments where he is basic at best those dudes have been blah & other than jks & arch they're just system QBs. Jks had one year of success & now has been ***. Reasons for it I don't know. All I know is now film is out on him AND he's become *** this season... Arch, yeah I'm just gonna stop there. What logical reason would any of y'all have to want arch? Can't use any argument that even comes close to making sense other than saying well now he'll be playing in the ACC. Really doesnt want him to be accurate at all. The good coaching you were talking about has Seller increasing his accuracy a whole 2% better than last year while throwing more interceptions.
