2028 Brysen Wright WR Mandarin

I get it. You always want a kid who embraces competition. But we also want someone that is realistic on his path. Cuz we don't want a kid who's coming here thinking he's automatically got a path towards play on day one. We've got a lot of alphas in this room and assuming he's an alpha he would simply be another one out of a loaded room. We've got dudes on this team right now that took the exact path you're saying and probably will never get any playing time here or minimal at that. Because there's only one football and on average mid-50s to 70 snaps a game. Not many snaps to go around when you talking about 12 deep let alone tight ends & the running back room we have as well. We just got to realize it's not personal for us. But we're talking about kids lives moving forward.

Valid.

When the Fab 5 went got to Michigan the older players knew they weren't playing in front of those guys. Other than Malachi, Sears, Wright, and Lanier, I believe can get snaps that would otherwise go to older guys.

Amir should not play both ways first year. He needs to physically develop to take that kind of physical abuse. First year should be Free Safety and CB, with weight training 2 times per day. Now going into his 2nd year, Id start to work him in.

I would say limit amount at wr 3 or 4 plays to create real issues for dbs , imagine Sears , Tony , wright , lannear . Shove Moore in at te just for these 3 or 4 plays . Run Hurry up and get the ball out quick

When...WHEN...will people stop acting like we have a cap?

Yes, individual players may not be worth what they are asking, but whatever it costs to field the team we want to field, Miami boosters will do it.
When Mensah goes pro, his $ comes off the books. Nickel is probably gone once we get the portal QB. I'd also guess that some of the younger WRs portal out too.

When we win the ACC + make another playoff run, money won't be an issue.
The staff knows what they are doing. Two years in a row, they have constructed one of the best rosters in college football. Pretty amazing what they have done. Sure, the team has things in needs to work on. However, there isn't a team I'd trade rosters with. The coaches have the right recipe
What does any of this have to do with what i said? Mario is the one who said we won’t go portal wnd now we’re bringing in our most expensive class

Never said we have a cap, never said we won’t build a great roster, never said the boosters wouldn’t pay up for whatever we need, never said the staff doesn’t know what they’re doing or have the wrong recipe

Im just saying this class could lineup with mario saying we won’t go portal, things can change but that’s what he said

Maybe him or the other kid. Unless a monster qb asks to join through the portal.
I've had enough alcohol at this point to play along with y'all's constant derailment of a top 5 kid who commits SOMEWHERE THIS THURSDAY thread. So please y'all tell me who's this monster qb who were gonna portal. According to y'all's standards now(because of course it makes sense for y'all to be so entitled now after half this fan base was calling for this man's job two years ago) who can it possibly be that would come in with all the hype you'd justify? Arch, dante moore, sayin or carr? If I see a single clown mention cj bailey like he's a better option than nickel would be I'm just gonna start blocking people finally. Someone finally apply logic and tell me who's such a great option to portal in? Jks who's had a COMPLETE **** YEAR after one with some success? Buddy from washington who's also had a **** year? Who?

Agree we’re in the portal getting a proven qb . Israel will be our starter in two years
This is the logic that makes me scratch my head. So you think nickel who has been in the program for two years already isn't going to be good enough because we have Malachi to go along with everyone else and that justified whatever expense necessary cause you can't put the ball in an unproven QBs hands with this kind of roster. BUT two years from now abrams being in the same exact position with one less year of development we'll be able to justify putting the ball in his hands because I guess Malachi alone makes that level of difference... Guess what guys. From a financial commitment and the talent in house already at that point **** won't be any different. Malachi is great. But he doesn't define our program moving forward beyond the next year...
