Yea you have to pitch to Sears and Wright “don’t worry about who’s throwing you the ball we got our guys three times in the portal we will get another one” that’s the pitch as well as playing time. We are trying to win every year not two to three years down the road, and we not rolling a dice. We are going portal until proven otherwise imo

I know the staff is telling Sears he’ll play WR too, but I honestly believe he’s going to be the reason we never see Poyser at deep safety again. If Sears can get up to 190, I think he’ll be the 3rd consecutive freshman All American safety for Miami.

The combination of elite ball skills, physicality, and a very high football IQ is what makes him a special FS prospect. The fact that he excels on both sides of the ball tells you everything you need to know about his understanding of the game. He has every tool you want in a future high draft pick FS.

Miss me with trying to make him the 8th WR on this team. Go help fix this secondary. Sears rotating at FS with Fitz is the best case scenario for both him and the Miami Hurricanes.

i'll go on record now, if wright commits to us and reclasses we're getting a portal qb ... can't take the chance of having mali, wright, and no cut with ... luke ... no disrespect, but you gotta maximize that window

Id argue having this big expensive class means we won’t also be spending on a portal qb this year but we’ll see

Sears enrolling early is huge. He needs to live in the weight room and training table.

When Mensah goes pro, his $ comes off the books. Nickel is probably gone once we get the portal QB. I'd also guess that some of the younger WRs portal out too.

When we win the ACC + make another playoff run, money won't be an issue.

When...WHEN...will people stop acting like we have a cap?

Yes, individual players may not be worth what they are asking, but whatever it costs to field the team we want to field, Miami boosters will do it.

The staff knows what they are doing. Two years in a row, they have constructed one of the best rosters in college football. Pretty amazing what they have done. Sure, the team has things in needs to work on. However, there isn't a team I'd trade rosters with. The coaches have the right recipe
