Maybe enlighten me to those lines. Where did Mario state or imply Nickel would and should be the QB next year? Kid has never started, never played with the 1s, and has a total of 65 snaps, and we aren't allowed to speculate about him not being the starter next year? Okay bud

These guys dont get it, EVERYONE job is on the line.. You basically gambling entire operation on QB decision, now Mario has built in equity but CFB is such a game now, you can be in playoffs one year and on hotseat just that quick.. You are doing a disservice to everyone if you dont try to keep this high level of QB play going..
 
- Kamario (make him say no, who cares what the national ramifications are as bag boogeymen)
- Keelon Russell (make Bama blow their NIL to keep him)

Both of those slim chances, but might as well gauge temperature.

You probably should be sorry but it's not your fault because it's the mods who are letting y'all detail a thread about the #1 or #3 recruit in all of the country potentially(very much so)reclassing and committing any day now to the team you apparently follow. That's stupid *** topic y'all are discussing (EVEN though Mario already said we're not planning on taking another portal QB next year) ad nauseam is being discussed in far too many threads. So why don't we try not just you I'm sorry if you took it personally but why don't we try not to take a thread that's about a kid who should commit any day now in class and make it about a portal to be when it seems to be a dead topic...

It's not about nickel being the starter even though he's probably The logical conclusion but Mario has stated in a press conference not just private thing he stated in a press conference the plan isn't to take any quarterback from the portal next year. You can speculate if you choose to from there what that means when he says the plan maybe because plants can always change that's not the case and it will end up going with the portal cubie but there's better places to talk about it is my only point. But all of y'all feel free to do what you want and if the mods continue to let a thread that should be about one of the primary recruits and our entire focus for the next year be derailed that's on them

Justin Herbert is still Justin Herbert. This is where people get confused when the talk becomes about schemes and play calling. You don't take a prototypical quarterback like Justin Herbert who has sustained success over multiple years and all of a sudden tell him run the same offense you are asking that dip**** tua to run. Nothing about Justin Herbert is quick dink and dunks and quicker reads. Dudes got a rocket for an arm. Oc job is look at his success and create an offense that schematically fits his strengths

You may be right but the guy comes up small in big moments over n over again it didn’t just start this year it’s just always been everyone else fault when doesn’t succeed for his entire career. This year he looks awful, Mcdaniels system doesn’t do him any favors but some of his decisions with the ball are head scratchers
