2028 Brysen Wright WR Mandarin

I don’t think it happens, but if it does, he instantly becomes a superstar and the face of college football. The NIL deals would be insane, and the coverage of him and Mali for one more year would be nonstop.

This is what Im asking. Is the money big enough for Mensah to stay, if he enjoyed college lifestyle and Miami. Or does he want to play football in Green Bay or Cleveland. 🤷🏻‍♂️ who knows where he ends up or if he’s starting. I think there is more of a chance than people think

If we don't portal Nickel will start and I also think he will be a star.

I like what i saw from Nickel, though it was a small sample size. I think the roster next year will be too loaded at skill position to take the chance though. But if you do roll the dice on Luke, we have to recreate the Dallas Cowboys OL from the 90’s to ensure he has the support he needs 🤣

If he is slated to go first round, he needs to go. All another year does is put more faults for scouts to pick through to knock him down from where he would have been if he came out.

Depends on what chance you think people think. Is it 0%? No. Is it a high chance? Also no.

It really all comes down to what the NFL thinks. The money at the top of Round 1 is staggering. In 2026, anything in the Top 6 was at least $40 million, all of that guaranteed. I'm sorry, he's not turning that down. I still can't believe Dante Moore did what he did, and if anything, that should deter Mensah from coming back.

But if the NFL thinks he's a Day 1, or even an end of Round 1 pick, I think there's a very good chance he comes back. The 25th pick in the 2026 draft got a little less than $19M guaranteed. Obviously insane money, but if you're going to get $8M from Miami to come back, the risk is worth it, IMO. Or, it's at least worth a discussion.

So all of this banter about him potentially coming back really only depends on what the NFL thinks. Mel Kiper's latest big board had Mensah as the #4 overall prospect, and #2 QB. If that's the consensus from everyone at the end of the year, he is ******* GONE. And he should be. But I've seen some mocks just in the last week that didn't have him in the 1st round at all. If that's the case, he almost certainly comes back. He'll be a polarizing prospect because he's not a "can't miss" type kid. He has flaws, but also he's really, really good.

It’s not that cut and dry. Look at the situation Cam is in, would he choose to go to Tennessee again knowing what he knows now about that sht organization?

Cam Ward got $48 million guaranteed.
I know and understand that. But if you come back and even if don’t go as high the next year you’re stilll gonna go in the first round. Teams will always draft qbs high. If you get the right fit you get to the dumb money qbs make on the second contract.

With what’s going on in Tennessee are we sure Cam is gonna get that mega payday.

I know I know you always take the money, I understand that. Just playing devils advocate

Wait, more arm talent in Simpson? The former Alabama QB?

I'm no scout but at first pass Mensah 's accuracy and processing seem better....

But the F do I know...
Scouts dont like Mensah arm, they think its just adequate for NFL and some may say below avg.. Pitt was probably his best game, hopefully he can finish strong but it will always hold back his draft prospect. If he had a better are he would be first pick lock. They like everything else for most part but for that crowd arm is deal breaker

A strong arm isn't necessarily the end all be all. Drew Brees is a hall of famer, and no one would say he has a strong arm. On the flip side, Dante Culpepper had one of the strongest arms I've ever seen and he didn't pan out. Accuracy and knowledge of the game go a long way.

Im not drafting him, you dont have to sell me.. They dont care about any of that.. Right now they drooling over mestemaker..

whomever plays QB at the U next year will have Mali, no cut nick, and probably Bryson line up on the field at some point. Added bonus if Sears also lines up

Having weak-to-average arm strength limits your playbook. In college, you can get away with it, but not in the NFL. Sure, there are outliers, like Brees who had elite accuracy and anticipation, but there's a reason why most everyone prefers taller, stronger-armed QBs. Opens up the middle of the field and the deep boundary throws.

I get that, but Simpson didn't appear to have some gun either. And he didn't have the experience either. And yet he went mid round 1.
Mestamaker clearly has a better arm than Simpson. But he’s only got a bit more experience starting than Simpson.

Unless he implodes, I just cant see Mensah not going in the first.

But if scouts want to think they know better and degrade him to 2nd/3rd rd, we would welcome him back with open arms.
When will they get their draft grades in? Don’t the league provide them with some intel ahead of time? Hopefully before the portal opens???

Compare Mensah to Austin Simmons.

Mensah throws a catchable accurate ball, but Simmons arm, that ball explodes out of his hand, but clearly not as accurate and doesn't process like our guy.
