Watched several games today with supposed top QBs and I have to say this kid is going to be special. Alabama once again strikes gold…of course not hard when you stack 5 star after 5 star, but that said kid is the goods. I didn’t even think we played poorly, he just didn’t miss. QB was basically the only question mark for them this year, and after watching OSU, Oklahoma, and this putrid Georgia/Clemson game, I don’t see anyone within 2-3 TDs. Isn’t college football great! 🤮

His poise was impressive, he hit every throw in stride regardless of pressure, while moving in the pocket. I think we played pretty well, and he tore us up. He’s special and I’d be surprised if they don’t score 40+ in every game. Watch this Clemson/Georgia game and you can see the clear difference. These guys are missing people all over the field.

It’s ok to say he’s gonna be special and admit he did nothing of note tonight. There wasn’t one throw I can remember, that wouldn’t have been completed by an average D1 QB.
Exactly. That’s why many of these kids so call 1st round qbs never materialize past 3 years in the league. Throwing to wide open receivers all game doesn’t translate to the league when everything is equal.

He was calm as **** looking out there.

He'll be as advertised, 1 or 2 best in his class with DJ from Clemson.

12 of 18 with 3 tds against the blitz. That's balling. Not to mention that whole first ever start thing

Long season to go so we will see, but we didn’t play poorly. He didn’t force throws, took what was open, and didn’t make mistakes. It wasn’t that easy, he made it look easy. I do agree that it’s a different level with the athletes, and players around him…that’s a whole other story. College football really is turning into a **** product with Alabama at just a different level than everyone else.

Overrated, talent around him makes it easy for him.
Just like every other Bama QB once they make the NFL is bust time.
Well the past three QBs they've had will all be starting come next week. Probably could say that when they were starting the AJ McCarron and Jake Coker types. But tricky Nicky has hit on the last few QBs he's had.

Nah Florida only lost by 6 points to a much better Alabama team last year. I can see 3-4 teams on their schedule including the SECCG that could pull off an “upset” this year.

Minus two busts courtesy of DJ Ivey and Hall, I didn’t see any WOW throws from this kid. Had the benefit of a lot of non holding calls, but used it to extend plays and protect his lineman. I’ll be more impressed against a more even matchup.

Honestly are defense was pathetic. Im not saying isn't going to be good but I would hold off on anointing him just yet.
