Tell me again that being in the ACC vs SEC doesn’t matter in recruiting

I’m going to touch on this in a few weeks. I nuked my other “Myth Buster” thread b/c I was like what’s the point.

However, the conference affiliation is something that’s fascinating.

Guess we are going to try to rely on flip season later on again. I would love to know the difference in $ these teams are offering.

Acc has only finished top 5 recruiting 3 times since 2016. Clemson 2 times and Miami 1. Some of y’all can keep trying to deny it but the sec has been pushed all these kids life. Now they are pushing the power 2. Even the nfl draft promotes for them

You forgot FSU in 2016 which finished 3rd in 2016. Its not an SEC thing. Miami isn't competing against the Vandys and the Kentucky's of the world for recruits. They are recruiting against the same 8- 12 schools that have a track record of top 10 classes regardless of which conference they belong in.

Bama, UGA, Texas, LSU, Clemson, OSU, Michigan, USC for the first half of the last decade then add in MIami, ATM, Oregon and Notre Dame have since in they hired staff's that prioritize recruiting.

Only fans care about that SEC pride **** and even then its cringy as **** when your rooting for what should be your rivals to win a natty cuz of some fake pride. ESPN hypes it up because they have a 7 billion+ TV contract so of course they are going to slurp themselves over the BIG10 or ACC. Gotta protect the investment.

It doesn't.
They goofy and will continue to be goofy. But Clemson won a natty though but it doesn’t count because “NIL era”

Reading those same posts after you destroyed that narrative in another thread makes me lose brain cells. They have to be wearing sippy straw hats and seatbelts posting that nonsense.

@Memnon literally posted receipts about this conference bs narrative excuse but people don’t like to be wrong. Just say you wrong and that’s it. The highest bidder wins man it’s that simple. Like if I am wrong I say I am wrong. What’s up with the egos man no one is going to care that anyone is wrong here it happens we all get things wrong.

Some of you didn't play NCAA 2014 and it shows.

Program Prestige
Coaching Prestige
Coaching Style
Proximity to Home
Early Playing Time
NIL (probably most important)
Conference Prestige
Academics
Etc

All of these things matter to a different extent depending on the kid. It isn't as simple as "SEC>ACC" or "$1.2M>$1.1M"

This can’t be real life this a video game bruh like bruh. That’s like saying “yo we going to war but have everyone where this pink hoodie and bunny ears cause I wore it in Fortnite and won the match”

The first line is obviously tongue in cheek lol obviously video games are video games and not real life. But the point remains that there are many different factors that go into a kid deciding where to go to school and those factors are weighed differently for every kid. Is there anything you disagree with there or did you stop reading after missing the joke in the first sentence?
