They’d leave because Bryant isn’t going anywhere to “compete.” He’s going somewhere to be the guaranteed starter.

Baker Mayfield is certainly an anomaly. He walked on at Texas Tech, transferred to Oklahoma and then walked on there too. He wasn't exactly being courted by other programs.
