Bruce suffers non-football leg injury

GuysM they can give him a medical redshirt this year and then a regular redshirt next year and be a third year freshman! GuYsm!

Sucks but it's not the end of the world imo. Perhaps he'll take this opportunity more seriously now.
 
Lower extremeity. Not a knee. Not playing football. Not playing basketball.

Maybe he was Merriweathered.

guys need to see that there aint no thing as a "pick up game' sit your *** down if you aint doing something football related.
 
He could have suffered the same injury running down a driveway chasing a USPS delivery van.
 
Hearing this was a nasty injury. Compound fracture perhaps. Can anyone confirm?
 
"Non-football" injury list which usually cues the bizarre "WTF is going on did you slip on a banana peel at The Hecht?"

I hope it works out for Bruce but he gets suspended for 3 games for the gun and still gets injured anyway! I would say an injury from practice but it says "non-football" related.

I feel bad for him but he wasnt going to play much at all anyway as we have our top 7 wr as it is.
 
Hate to hear this. Wanted to see him play soon, but TBH this is one position we can weather an injury. Not so much on Defense.

thing is he was not chasing a UPS driver, he was playing another sport/game that he should not have been playing.
 
If you break your leg and need surgery... Sam is gonna be out a long time.

So does the redshirt equal time served for his suspension... I would assume, yes.

The sideline legend of SB grows everyday...his game day stats are an impressive data set to say the least...heard NFL was going to make exception...as he is next year's #1 draft pick front runner...


A BIG IF...the reports are accurate that he was injured in a non-football related risk activity...speaks volumes of where this young man's head is right now...literature indicates male brains arent fully developed until post mid 20s...so he may have just been doing what young lions do...compete...can't blame him for that...BUT...

like it or not he lives a life that comes with higher expectations and scrutiny...tough luck...

IF this was a sports injury or just tripped over himself walking down a hallway...just need to focus on better risk management decisions...

again a big IF...but hope that pick up basketball game (or whatever) was worth it...Im sure Winslow would still get on that bike if he could do it all over again too (sparking one off in parking lots notwithstanding)

Tough to contribute for game day Ws when you just can't get on the field...

Hope for timely recovery and getting back on track...the Canes could use an athlete of his projected talent on game day...

Mullins' admission growing in importance every single day...
