Bruce Feldman: "UGA top underachieving teams past 10 yrs"

If he can do what he did at UGA here our fans will be ecstatic. He was plays away from beating bama in 2012 SEC championship game.

And would have won Nqtty easily as did Bama.

And Charlie Weis was one 4th and 9 stop from playing for the 2005 national championship. He came probably closer to a NC game than Richt ever did. Right after inheriting a team from the worst recruiter ever in Ty Willingham. Want to hire Weis?

Does almost accomplishing something count? No it does not.

Gus Malzahn actually did play for a NC. And he came 13 seconds away from winning it.

Want to hire him?

UGA was literally a few yards away from the title game. It doesn't get any closer than that.

I'm so tired of this f**** argument. UGA fans use to say the same thing and guess what they had enough and FIRED him anyway. All we should care about is winning. I don't care about a play away or how we finished 2 with Jeudy. It does not matter.

Context.

He said Charlie Weis got closer to a title game than Richt did. I was refuting that point.

Richt hasn't coached a game at Miami yet. All we can do is speculate, so ranting about winning being the only thing that matters is ******* pointless right now. No **** winning is all that matters, but they don't play the games in July.

BTW here are the active coaches who have won national championships:

Saban
Meyer
Fisher
Chizik
Miles
Carroll
Coker
Stoops
Erickson

All of them are either unavailable or undesirable. If you don't like Richt, whoever you like is just as big of a gamble.

Lol the irony of you talking about champions. How many has Bama won since 2009? Are you really that dense that you can't see why a top recruit would pick Bama over Miami in the year 2016?

Also lol at loser mentality. Aren't you the same guy already doubting Richt? Aren't you the same guy that started a thread about Jeudy staying Ridleys ppl? If you heard that why would you talk **** about us not getting him if you knew what was up. I don't give a **** if he comes here or not. We win, and everything will take care of itself.

I never said "can't see why a top recruit would pick Bama over Miami", all I said is we have to do a better job fighting for these kids. I mean Mario is running laps around our staff right now. The fallacy of your argument is that in order to win, we NEED to keep kids like Jeudy. All you guys go into denial once they go elsewhere and claim these kids are overrated. But can't you deny how we missed Watkins, Patrick Peterson, Lamarcus Joyner, Alex Collins, Amari Cooper? All these guys were studs that was the key for winning for their team. Same thing with Jeudy, we will regret not signing him.
What don't you get? Of course they are running laps around us. They have 4 MNC since 09 while we have been dealing with Shannon, then Golden. Richt hasn't coached one snap and some of yall already expect him to bring in every top recruit. Now Rumph not getting kids from AH is a lil inexcusable. After this season is when he need to really start judging Richt on the recruiting trail. This kids are not going to jump to UM just because we hired Richt. They want to see results first.

Georgia was pretty Mediocre under Dooley and was unranked 40% of his season's there. Dooley won the big game once in like 25 years and other than that, Richt was as good or better. Also, Richt coached in a much different era, one that is much harder to win the big one.

Jimmy Johnson went 0-10 against Oklahoma and Nebraska. How'd he do against those schools while at Miami? Georgia, while a nice school with a good program, is NOT UM. Miami can be GREAT with a good coach.

Using Jimmy at Oklahoma state is a poor example. Oklahoma state was not a Powerhouse program. Georgia was. It is foolish to think that Mark richt did not under achieve at Georgia.

I'm willing to give Mark richt a fair opportunity to improve.

Stfu and stop making asinine statements. You can't prove on any front that Georgia was or is a powerhouse program

Then get the fuq off of this message board. No one cares about your cynicism and flawed logic.

You act like you'r being some wise skeptic that's warning everyone of a pending danger.

Most of us are smarter, wiser, better looking, and far more fed up than you are.

We know when to be skeptical. You re just being a dumb *** diqhead.

Hiring Mario would be the death knell of this program. Grossly over rated by some couldn't even keep the OL job at Bama. In fact if you look at it Golden has a better pedigree than Mario

Mario is running laps around our staff right now.

Not in SF/Florida He ain't...Bama signed ZERO SF/Florida kids with Miami offers this year.

Richt - 9
Saban - ZERO

OK I'm not sure what you're talking about. Calvin Ridley is now a All American, was recruited by Mario. Jeudy, pretty much heading in the same direction. Leatherwood, main recruiter is Mario. VanDarius Cowan, main recruiter Mario Cristobal. We got lucky with Richards last year, kid seems like he has a good family and they made an objective choice. Fact is kids like Ridley and Jeudy come precarious family situations and Mario has been there for them.

Yeah, Saban struggled in recruiting until Mario showed up.

Wait, wut?

You think Mario would be pulling dudes like Jeudy if he were the OL corch at NC State or some ****?

The fact that you even have to explain this proves the incompetence of the OP.

STOP making dumb *** threads

No - but you can't deny Mario has been a catalyst. Pre Mario, Saban could got a steal in Eddie Jackson and swooped and got Amari Cooper after we f*cked that up. Now with Mario almost guaranteed he's going to get one of the top rated guys down here.
