The only reason I'd be possibly ok with Mario as the man is if he could keep coley as qb coach and recruiting coordinator and keep ice Baez and Kevin beard on staff.

Why? Coley is a terrible OC and without FSU boosters isn't all that as a recruiter either. Oh but he's cuban so he gets a pass right?

He's probably one of the 17 year old recruiting nerds who pollute football these days. They think all you have to do is hire a guy with a good reputation for recruiting, and you'll be guaranteed success. All the recruiting nerds underestimate the importance of great leadership from the HC and great talent developers and technicians on the staff.

Al survives and Pelini and London get canned would be a catastrophic cherry on top of the last ten years

Cristobal is going to be nasty learning what he is from Saban

Do you really blame him for leaving Golden for Saban? Come on now

Yep. He's going to be Saban II just like Muschamp. Everyone who works under a great HC becomes a great HC. Look at all the great HCs JJ produced--Norv Turner, Dave Wannstache. Then there's Bill Belichick with his mini me's in Mangini and Josh McDaniel.

He left cuz he was getting paid 500k for being a positional coach...and now is the #1 recruiter in nation

I think its a pipe dream that Folden leaves for another gig. He aint walking away from 2 Million plus a year.

he tried to leave this past offseason and ive heard he was actually seen on PSUs campus during that whole saga

How do we know what Christobal has actually learned, and can apply, from Saban? Working for a master doesn't make you a master.

Maybe he has learned a lot, but how can we tell? Except as a recruiter, we have no more track record to go on than we had before.

U have to put him where everyone from top to bottom wants to win, u put him back at Fiu he sux again.

"NO" to Mario!!! I met this arrogant fool at CanesFest during the Brock Berlin years. I asked about leaving Brock in the shotgun more and he looked at me like C'mon mAN. Even though Brock performed a lot better in the shotgun formation as we all have discussed. I want someone who adapts to the personnel they have not the other way around.

Triple B's all day! (Bring Back Butch)

Mario would be a good hire....He did decent job at FIU. Did as much as he could with that garbage squad. Had a couple winning seasons. Great recruiter, learning under Saban. Would most likely keep Coley and grab a good DC. I would def be cool with that hire....

Substitute Temple for FIU and you could pretty much say the exact same thing about Golden. We need a proven winner. Not a guy who had moderate success at a ****** program.
