The entire purpose of college is to put a person in place for a job/profession/professional school. Sitting on a leather couch does not better prepare someone for the NFL. Any parent who allows this type of decision making is a problem. I can understand the ignorance of the 18 year old, **** we all were. But there is no excuse for a parent/coach/advisor not being able to talk some sense into the 18 year old.
Priorities are what life is about and the sooner people learn this the better off they are. This isn't to say UM or any school should have subpar facilities, but it is ti say that there comes a point wherein the facilities no longer better prepare a person for the NFL between school A and school B. Once we are talking about things beyond what is necessary to best prepare the person for the future then we are talking about things that should not be part of the decision making. Superfluous items are just that.

Truth. If Mark Emmert and the corrupt NCAA didn't do everything possible to protect the sleazy SEC, then Miami and USC would never lose a game.

Take away all the bags and shenanigans, and tell me that I have a choice to play football in either Miami Florida, Los Angeles California, or Tuscaloosa Alabama... you have to be a dumb ************ to choose Tuscaloosa. OF COURSE they are cheating.

The NCAA HAS TO allow the SEC to cheat. They wouldn't get no players otherwise. Obvious common sense.

It's no coincidence that since Emmert became president of the NCAA, he's gone after USC and then MIAMI, while letting the SEC schools slide. In his mind, he's helping out small town America.

If everyone competed on the same playing field, we'd be back to the 80's/90's where Miami dominated everyone. Too many "local differences" between Miami and Tuscaloosa for Emmert hence the sham we have going on today

I love my Canes, but the way the locals view the rest of the country on CIS is hysterical in my opinion. It's always ignorant as fück, lots of beautiful stuff to see outside Miami.
