The entire purpose of college is to put a person in place for a job/profession/professional school. Sitting on a leather couch does not better prepare someone for the NFL. Any parent who allows this type of decision making is a problem. I can understand the ignorance of the 18 year old, **** we all were. But there is no excuse for a parent/coach/advisor not being able to talk some sense into the 18 year old.Don’t think it’s ignorant at all and it’s definitely not stupid. And your daughter’s choice, though fine for her, might be considered silly for someone who might choose GT, Michigan or MIT. Student athletes choose what they choose for their reasons not your daughter’s. and athletes, particularly ones who play P5 football, seem to like the shiny things - and the idyllic campus, the beach and the weather and the night/city-life (that most can’t afford) seem to be taking a backseat especially when the team hasn’t shown elite coaching/development qualities.

Most US schools are in some fairly regressive areas. P5 is no different. The only P5’s I can think of that are truly close to large major city centers are
GT, Miami, Pitt, UW, BC, UCLA and USC. (Louisville? )
Now look at State College, PA; Blacksburg/Charlottesville, VA; College Station. TX… the point is to play football at a high level, odds are high that you will end up in some backwater. It’s normalized.

Bubbas new digs. Lavish for college, these croots need to see it.
Is this the "new dorms" on campus, or University Village (edge of campus), or is it off-campus?
I have not yet toured any of the new dorms.
There is no way in **** that is a phucking dorm lol
