Brock...where did you get those pics of the new facilities...post more

Read the rest of his posts, he’s a gator fan clear as day. Miami has one of the latest built Ipf’s so that by default makes it top 25 and Miami has touched up on quite a few things you mentioned like the weight room. Not worried about the stadium, it’s a top notch facility and we know how good it gets . Lockerroom needs a renovation but that’s going to happen soon.
That dude is absolutely not a Cane. I think gaytor and if not then F$U. His history is clear as day from day 1 and I’ve raised it before.

UM has excellent facilities. Look at the NFL...... Alabama's, Clemson's and Oregon's facilities are recruiting tactics. UM's facilities are as good as the Dolphins or the Giants. Pro teams invest in what they truly need, and they do not add superfluous slides or vacuum opening doors. An NFL will provide pools, state of the art gym, nutrition, analytics, but it has to provide a proven benefit. UM's has pro style facilities.

Anyone that attended the VTech or Notre Dame at Hard Rock will never ask for another stadium again. The roof provides an insane advantage to UM. It was louder than 'Caine during those games.

UM has A+ facilities, which is a miracle considering what we had before the Schwartz (sic) building, let alone the Soffer building!

NFL teams don't have to recruit or sell their team to players so a state of the art facility isn't necessary. You even said it yourself-- they're used for recruiting.

This type of thinking is the reason we are behind in this race. U absolutely need facilities in today’s CFB. There is no questioning that.
How ignorant are some of these kids and their families to have their heads spinning over facilities? My daughter will be a freshman next fall at Harvey Mudd college in Claremont, Ca. Most of you would have no reason to know (I didn’t either) that it is one of the top engineering schools in the country. But the dorms are crap compared to any major university, including Georgia Tech and Michigan which she turned down. And the campus is small (850 students).
But she could care less because she views college as her to path to future success. It is a ends to a means. Not an end.
So I ask again, why would anyone care if their is a barbershop at the facility or how many leather couches are in the lounge? This to me is the height of ignorance.
Everything I have seen if UM’s facilities is that they are very good. And they’ll need to be updated from time to time as all schools do. But for any prospect to reject UM because the facilities aren’t as good as _________ is ignorant, and borderline stupid. And I would hope that the prospect’s parents and/or coach/advisor would explain this to the young man.

I heard Blake James day we’re don’t have a sprawling resort, we’re more of a 5 Star boutique hotel.

I’m ok with that.

We don’t need all the extra bull**** bells and whistles other schools in some podunk backward college town do. Miami is the ultimate amenity.

Once the new dorms are done any kid who doesn’t come here because of “facilities “ is just making up excuses.

Go cut your hair at the corner barbershop or walk across the street to Sunset Place to bowl.

Because football players aren't there to play school like your daughter. Agreed, it's somewhat idiotic, but it is what it is.

Location and weather will make up for any other "percieved" shortcomings....

18 year old football players do not have the same intelligence levels as kids going to school for engineering. Maybe watch more Last Chance U?

Exactly. This dude gets it. All the tubes on here crying about our facilities and how they don’t match up have never walked around the UM campus in January in shorts sipping an iced tea and enjoying the scenery

The hayseed locales need chocolate fountains and Willy Wonka **** to distract recruits from the grim reality that their campus is an oasis in a desert of corn fields and meth labs.

Don't discount the fact that people look for convenient excuses. It's a lot easier to blame facilities, etc. than it is to say UM expects me to have a real major, attend classes, and get good grades.

And never discount the rampant bag drops that the bag schools engage in. Facilities are a nice pretext to dance around the fact that the schools pumping the most money into water slides and chocolate fountains are also pumping the most money into pimp mommy and pimp daddy’s bank account.

There is no way the Canes are in the top-25 of the facilities arms race. More importantly, even if we were in the top-25, when one considers the facilities opening, seemingly every day, on other campuses around the country we are not even close to being in the same orbit as those Taj Mahals.

The Canes desperately need a 'Sugar Daddy', similar to Oklahoma State's Boone Pickens or Oregon's Phil Knight, who will finance state of the art facilities.

It is not lost on 16, 17, 18-year old kids the vast difference in our facilities and those teams who are regularly rated in the top-15 of the various polls.

I've been making the above comments on this message board over the past number of years, but the usual suspects shout this down as they do a striking impression of an Ostrich. They can continue to ignore this fact and claim it is not a disadvantage to our recruiting, yet this issue is not going away and is only going to get worse in the coming years as it relates to our efforts.

True. But it's important that our 5-star boutique stays top shelf.

correct. I will add that all the extras that pro teams have are at their training facilities that are usually far away from the actual stadium they play in. UM will always be behind other schools because other schools have their field on campus right next to their training facilities where kids can hang out

Brock you’re moving the goalposts a bit here. I’m thinking athletic facilities; specifically, those related directly to football: Stadium, IPF, Weight Room, Dining … The dorms, though obviously important, is more of a campus/student body thing.

- Stadium. A+++ only issue MIGHT be distance from campus, but it’s more central to actual Canes fans.
- IPF. Top Notch. No doubt. Top-25? I doubt it. It might be, but there are some serious IPF’s out there with more coming online.
- Locker Rooms. Definitely not top-25 but workable.
- weight Room. Not 25 yet.
- Dining. Not top-25 yet.

His “argument” for this particular issue doesn’t make him a “gator” fan. In fact even you were just arguing for why Miami needed to upgrade locker room and weight room (which will happen very soon).

His point was valid.

Instead of cutting the chain - they should be shining their tractors.

It's amusing that the dirtiest programs are also the most redneck, hillbilly, low-IQ places in the western hemisphere. Alabama? Georgia? LSU?

Now, can you imagine if a program with actual smart people in charge decided to be corrupt and dirty? What if Stanford decided to break the rules?

I can tell you what I would do.

Let's say you're playing Alabama. They've already spent millions of dollars buying the best players that money can buy. I would go to their QB and their RB's and offer them $1 million in cash for each pick they threw, or each fumble they fumbled. Then sit back and watch the carnage.

They can have all the 5-stars they want, but they ain't overcoming all the turnovers that would result.

All I'm saying is it's a good thing the most corrupt programs are also the most simple-minded. It keeps some sanity in the sport.

The only facility I want to see is the gif of the girl droppin it like it's hot on the bed.....she can house some stuff homie
