You think signing two more top tight ends in Izzy Briggs and Gavin Mueller doesn't have something to do with it.He was hurt for a number of games. Also been mentioned he doesn’t have elite hands.

had the size and speedWas buddy expecting to be the second coming of Brock bowers?
Another reason why CJ Bailey is not a good fit.We don’t really use TE’s the way we traditionally did these days. They play more of a blocking and short possession receiver type role.
OSU is probably now pointing $2mm at our roster
He should be playing now. A TE pass catcher with speed. He's probably frustrated watching what's in front of him. He's a weapon we don't use. He should be taking snaps from Bauman.Baffling. Was going to play a ton in 2026. Another homesick TE perhaps?
I was kidding. IU makes perfect sense.I would have thought IU or ND for this kid…at best.
Yeah, I’d prefer some of the other names at QB but whoever Mario and crew think they can win with at this point, I’ll be supportive of given the past two seasons, particularly after this one.Another reason why CJ Bailey is not a good fit.
Opposing linebackers seem to know our plays better then Baumann and hes in the huddle. Dont know how many times ive seen him looking around trying to figure out whats going on. Hes the one guy i worry about running a catch into the wrong endzoneCause Bauman and Lofton didn't drop hella balls this year right lol
We need that type te again . Brings another weapon to defend instead of lofton . Hes to slowNot true. Elijah Arroyo was definitely used a lot last season.
What are you talking about? He got passed up by Gilbert. Thats why Gilbert was playing earlier in the year.Wow.
Staff majorly mismanaged the TE room this year idgaf what anyone says. The Fact this dude wasn't playing is crazy
And then neither of them played at all in the middle of the year when our TEs sucked ****.What are you talking about? He got passed up by Gilbert. Thats why Gilbert was playing earlier in the year.
We are currently playing:We’re in the semi finals and fans think they know better than the coaching staff when it comes to playing a true freshman tight end lol never change CIS
How dare you bring logic and examples disproving the narrative into this. CIS needs a reason to slag on this staff, despite them being in the CFP Semis, and doing it in impressive fashion. For all we know, the young man is homesick and the staff isn't interested in keeping someone engaged that really doesn't want to be in Miami anymore. Miami isn't for everyone.Arroyo would say otherwise
Lofton has been battling injuries all year, he has started to show signs of life as he got back into game shape. Bauman hasn't been good, but I doubt that the staff is playing him just because. I wonder what the freshmen are doing in practice, because it's obvious that if you perform on Greentree, you will play. For examples of that, see Pringle, Fitzgerald, and others. We are currently playing:
True freshman WR
True freshman RB
True freshman Safety.
This is not a case of me wanting to see a true freshman TE just for the sake of playing a true freshman over a veteran TE. No one can deny that Bauman and Lofton were playing absolutely horrible and holding us back. Neither could block or catch. Now, Lofton was banged up for half the season. Bauman was just awful. Both have improved the last few games. During Lofton and Bauman's struggles, why not play the more athletic freshman TE's who looked good in limited snaps?
I'm not saying put in Schott and Gilbert, make them full-time starters, and never play Lofton or Bauman again. Just give them a little more playing time when Bauman and Lofton were the 2 worst players on the field at all times. We had Pringle replace Lyle after Lyle gave us no production.
He looked good in limited snaps vs who? Bethune Cookman? We are currently playing:
True freshman WR
True freshman RB
True freshman Safety.
