And he was still under used. He got his yards because he was so explosiveDo you think its more we didn't have the players? Arroyo was used quite a bit

When did these freshmen outplay anyone? Certainly not in a game. This is a great point. Our freshman TE's were playing just as good or better as Bauman and Lofton early in the season, but get no snaps as the season continues and no snaps in the final games.
Whereas, we have a freshman RB (Pringle) that outplayed one of our starting RB's (Lyle) early in the season. Pringle is rewarded with more snaps/game time, as well he should be.
This is why it's confusing to me, unless Schott and Gilbert were injured and unable to play the entire 2nd half of the season.
Arroyo played because he was an excellent blocker.WR Miami’s is a great destination for a dual blocking and possession TE - an upgraded Bauman is what I’m guessing Mario wants. Boring but it’s working when we need it. I don’t know if this guy fits that.

Arroyo was a willing blocker. Excellent is a stretchArroyo played because he was an excellent blocker.
The receiving upside that he had was exactly that - upside that elevated the team.
Almost like there’s a reason the coaches still trot out Bauman and lofton each week.According to Pete he was having issues catching in practice lol
Kind of an issue
As if Baumann does?He was hurt for a number of games. Also been mentioned he doesn’t have elite hands.
Every TE in college football is a willing blocker. He was in the top group of blockers. That was the point.Arroyo was a willing blocker. Excellent is a stretch
Then why didn’t he play? Independent of the injury. This kid is a million times better then loften.
This one hurts
They looked good the limited times they were in. I know Schott played in the BC game and played well, so you can say the competition was weak. Gilbert played in a few games and looked pretty good. Neither Schott and Gilbert got a ton of targets, but they looked like they belonged. I also remember both of them having some good blocking on some runs. When did these freshmen outplay anyone? Certainly not in a game.
Not even remotely close but your takes are usually awful so this is on brandThis kid is a million times better then loften.

Beck said this recently, btwSeems like TE is just not a focus in the Dawson offense
Every TE isn’t a willing blocker and he wasn’t a top blocker. According to pff if you want to use them he was 50th among TEs in run blocking. There is a reason they used mccormickEvery TE in college football is a willing blocker. He was in the top group of blockers. That was the point.
Hopefully they expand their playbook and incorporate that more as a receiving threat. They just brought in the kid from cali who is basically a big wr
Well I'm glad I can disagree with PFF whenever I want, it doesn't matter anything in regards to the point I made either. So...Every TE isn’t a willing blocker and he wasn’t a top blocker.
