Bring Mario home

The only hope he has is that the PAC 12 hasn’t made a playoff since 2014. He can go to the playoffs from the ACC and have a pretty manageable schedule like he does at Oregon. That and it’s home.

Or he can wait until a big SEC job opens and go there. Which is where he’s at now.

What happened?

No idea , I’ve just been told by multiple people over the years ( who’d know ) that they can’t stand each other. I’m pretty sure Ferman has mentioned it too.

We had a booster that would have signed off on Mario buyout last year but Blake ran and hired manny before anything could move forward. Mario would have came. He’d have his dream job and almost making double the money than Oregon.

But Miami gon Miami.

We really have become the drunk guy at club at 3am looking to score smh. Anything as better than our last chick we don’t care

He has to beat Clemson to win the ACC. That isn’t happening any time soon.

Impressive win. Entertaining game. Guys’s legit.

Call me when he doesn't have an NFL QB, and Nike money backing his "Recruiting". I've seen multiple Oregon games this season, he's still awful on gameday, he's still a coach that can only win when he can straight up outtalent the opposition. Guess what? You aren't doing that at Miami, not in 2019, especially if you have to win games against the Clemsons of the world.

Cristobal is an upgrade over Diaz, but I would prefer to get someone that can maximize less than optimal talent. Be wary of the chef that can only create great dishes when they have top end ingredients.

Mario wanted to come home and we decided to hire Manny Diaz f*ck the University of Miami. Go Ducks!!!!!!!!! Until Miami gets its head out of their *** can’t support the garbage that is going on in the 305 any more

Nothing to do with bringing him to Miami or not, but your statement is horsesht. He took the job then bounced. Everybody knew who golden was, so Mario took that job knowing full well who he was going to work for. He's not some hero that saw through al, he's a guy that took a job, then took a better job. That's it.
hey guy. @dsddcane can probably confirm. Golden was getting him a paycheck. coley started under mario. Golden was fine with him leaving. you guys just want to pick fights over nothing.

Yes at FIU, which is expected.

Someone on here is calling him the Cuban Butch. Well Butch has a winning record at FIU, he even beat UM. Can't say either about Cuban Butch. Butch built a powerhouse, Mario took over a very good team. Two different careers in what they have accomplished.

Look, I understand the connection to the program, but as some have said he would be an idiot to leave. Just look at Chip and Willie T for your examples of success at Oregon and failure elsewhere. He won the PAC, a weak conference, and a bowl game. Yes, much better than what we currently have going, but as others have said, he will corch it up now and then here if hired. Do we really want to continue to settle for guy that corch it up, or someone to lead us back to the top?

Congrats to Mario on the season, but I hope he stays out west, and I hope UM finds someone new immediately that is the right fit, not because he played here.

Hysterical! Guy goes 12-2, wins the Rose Bowl and will end in the top 5. Yeah, we’d hate to “underperform” like that.

A good coach goes undefeated with that cupcake schedule and with a 1st rd draft pick qb.
Pac 10? Another joke conference. Did you see the losses? Terrible losses.
if you know any football u know Oregon gets blown out vs the final 4 teams. Don’t be a homer.
Finally explain to me those awful offensive numbers in this game with an nfl qb.

dynasty? chill on that. he did have a great year. at least win 1 title before you start calling for dynasties. this, in the end, is still a meaningless bowl game. hes still a massive upgrade over anyone we've had in the last 15 years
The Rose Bowl is not meaningless. Especially when they've only won it 4 times, including tonight.

Congrats to Mario

great freaking game
Agreed that was an instant classic Rose Bowl that’s for sure. One thing I noticed - Mario has his team playing physical on both sides of the ball. Pretty much held Taylor in check the whole game. Thibeadeux is a helluva DE as is Breeze the safety. Man, I wish we had some of that on our team and in our program.

You might be right, the Grey Goose and lemonade has been flowing tonight. He just seems like he’s happy in Knight land

We definitely see things differently, but let me ask you - would you take Mario as our HC?

he won’t do either. The resident mouth breathers on this board think we will land someone epic like Urban. Mario just ascended to the next level. He won’t be coming here
Facts I always thought he would say no. Oregon is a way better situation
