Bring him to me

Okay, update:

The guy I spoke to said the feelings are mixed internally about how much of a threat Miami is here.

Some have conceded that Miami is a better job, and that if Babers wants to win at the highest level, he will consider Miami. He can’t compete for titles at Cuse, and he knows that.

The main issue for Miami is paying him enough to leave a program he’s proud of building. He just got a big contract extension, so it’s going to take a lot of cash to lure him away. It’s defintely a possibility, but Miami is going to have to throw the kitchen sink at him financially.

Overall, he’s very happy at Syrscuse, but every coach, especially somebody as passionate and competitive as him, wants to win titles. Babers knows Miami gives him that shot.

He’s going to do more digging and keep me updated, but as it stands right now, Miami has a shot, which has many Syracuse donors and officials terrified.

Thanks for the info!

Didn’t want to sound like a racist fool, so I never said anything, but often wondered if maybe Willie playing the race angle occasionally is how he’s inexplicably pulled these recruiting classes and prevented transfers.
Willie may be black, but he makes black women ***** drier than a well done steak!

Wipe the **** from your eyes and reread again. I'm not saying to hire Shannon as HC or that the next guy should hire Shannon from UCF as DC. Point is that if Heupel accepts the Miami job and wants to bring Shannon with him to be DC, Miami will be A-Ok on defense. It doesn't matter if it's Randy Shannon or Randy Travis as DC, if he runs a 4-3, he will have a top 25 defense, guaranteed.

Shannon makes 333k per year at UCF, since UF has to pay him 1.4 mil through 2020. If Miami ends up with Shannon at 400k per year, that's a **** of a bargain since the extra dough can go other places like assistants and OL coach. If you think Shannon at 400k per year for DC isnt a good deal, then with all due respect, you are an assclown.

Did you learn how to read like Floyd Mayweather......I didnt say anything about him being HC....he is average and if he cant stop 2* players from rushing for 200 yards a game. Also Miami wouldnt even let Radio back. Quit believing the lies about Miami not being able to pay....this isnt Dollar General. Miami fans want a real DC fvckface

Does this mean Miami has been in contact with him?

He didn’t know that much, but told me the people he’s been in contact with are worried, which is a good sign for us.

That got me to thinking. When is the last time we hired someone that his former team desperately did not want to lose? Been a long time brother. That is the direction we want to go.

Very few no brainers in college football. This is a no brainer. Get it done, Blake!

so fla kids will think babers is corny.
Yeah because they’re so unique and cutting edge. LOL. You guys make things too complicated. Win and load up the scoreboard and those speeches get everyone jacked. Why are South Florida kids so much cooler than the NYC kids at Syracuse who love him?

You Booch guys are a hoot. JJ and Booch are both rednecks from Arkansas, and they did fine with South Florida kids. Randy Shannon who was born and raised here couldn’t get them to play for him.

Why do we think Heupel would be married to Shannon as his DC? Coaches leave guys behind all the time

Like i said if you are looking to win the Coarstal and get blown out by Clemson to win some mid level bowl game.....he is your pick
Get blown out by Clemson? Like he did the last two years with far less talent? Are you ok? Or just trolling?

I like Babers and wouldn't be mad if thats who they went with. But am I the only one concerned about how much his Qb's get beaten up in that system? I've always been opposed to Mullen because his offense has only been successful when he's had TE's with decent arms as QB's and those aren't exactly growing on trees. Dungey is probably pound for pound, one of the toughest guys in college football, and he was absolutely abused in Babers system. I haven't watched them enough, but how much of that is on Dungey and how much of that is on Babers offense?

I always thought it was more of dungey just being a bad ***. I can't believe a coach would want to beat up his QB.
