Bring him to me

Like i said if you are looking to win the Coarstal and get blown out by Clemson to win some mid level bowl game.....he is your pick

If he can beat Clemson with Syracuse 2 and 3 stars, why wouldn't he be able to with the weapons he would have here? He had them on the ropes again this year too. The only worry I'd have about him is recruiting. That's less of a proven commodity IMHO.

Yes he played Clemson well( both times missing the starting QB half the games). HE LOST TO RICHT. You have know idea if he can recruit especially down in Miami area. He scored 3 points against ND
Now there are worst options out there but if we are just settling for above average...

If you want to try to outscore everyone and not win ships. But if you think Radio would be allowed back..... #2 in turnovers doesnt mean sh't when you are giving up 200 yards rushing. And much like Diaz, he is playing against crap competition

Miami had more than 200 yards rushing in a game and still lost. That stat doesnt mean sh#t. The defensive stat most closely associated with Ws is turnover margin. Shannon's D gets the ball back to his offense. That's what works for the team. He is in his 1st year there, they lost 7 starters on D, and still managed to be #2 in turnovers. That's effective. Hence 12-0.

Dino to Miami makes so much sense. Beyond what he has proven on the field, let's keep it real. We struggle landing high profile recruits in South Florida when their single moms steer them in a different direction. Never under estimate the power of a handsome, smooth talking black Mandingo, when it comes to single moms! It's a lot easier to fight off the bags when moms are to focused on trying to get the D, even if they know it's just a fantasy.
You sound like a man that gives pipe on the reg.

They are not 12-0 cause of their D. You probably think Diaz D is elite too. He is playing against shlt competition. If you dont think giving up 200 yards in rushing to a bunch of 1 and 2* players then imagine what Clemson, Bama, **** ND would do to that D

Can’t tell u how much I respect nycane’s insights and connections, especially last few days. If Dino is “corny” as he says, maybe that can be worked around; although getting sufficient discipline and respect from “the talent” is surely important with this current day Miami player crowd (for prep and conditioning and game study and such.)

He makes a good case for Mario and Butch (as do others.) Possibly we can’t get any of the 3 to sign, but all would have some flaws many won’t like, as well as some **** good non-Richt creativity and other plusses. I just hope as a demanding fan-base we all get behind any one of these and give our full support and a fair chance.

I’ve been preaching Dino since 2015. The guy continuously builds up every program he’s been at w scrubs. Thought it was a fluke? Now see Syracuse. He’s making a scrub QB w barely any offers now look like he can catch on w an NFL team.

My only issue is making sure he has the right DC to bring out the beast in our def. Would literally go after Tosh as the d-coordinator/asst coach!

I’m fine with Babers as long as he doesn’t bring his DC and fills his staff with savages on the trail

While they're hanging 50 ppg on the opposition?
And giving up 55.

He's a 9-10 every 3 years coach. I think we're just focusing on offense because our offense has looked like ****. I'd rather have Diaz with Canada as OC than Dino, just my opinion tho

Didn’t want to sound like a racist fool, so I never said anything, but often wondered if maybe Willie playing the race angle occasionally is how he’s inexplicably pulled these recruiting classes and prevented transfers from FSU’s current dumpster fire.

I’m going to one of the biggest Syracuse donor’s house in 45 min. He’s extremely plugged in because of how much he contributes. If he’s heard anything about Babers, he’ll let me know because he likes Miami, too. He was roommates with a bunch of staff members on Butch’s staff when he lived in South Florida. I’m not one to play insider, but I’ll tell you guys if he’s heard anything.
Okay, update:

The guy I spoke to said the feelings are mixed internally about how much of a threat Miami is here.

Some have conceded that Miami is a better job, and that if Babers wants to win at the highest level, he will consider Miami. He can’t compete for titles at Cuse, and he knows that.

The main issue for Miami is paying him enough to leave a program he’s proud of building. He just got a big contract extension, so it’s going to take a lot of cash to lure him away. It’s defintely a possibility, but Miami is going to have to throw the kitchen sink at him financially.

Overall, he’s very happy at Syrscuse, but every coach, especially somebody as passionate and competitive as him, wants to win titles. Babers knows Miami gives him that shot.

He’s going to do more digging and keep me updated, but as it stands right now, Miami has a shot, which has many Syracuse donors and officials terrified.

Wipe the **** from your eyes and reread again. I'm not saying to hire Shannon as HC or that the next guy should steal Shannon from UCF as DC. Point is that if Heupel accepts the Miami job and wants to bring Shannon with him to be DC, Miami will be A-Ok on defense. It doesn't matter if it's Randy Shannon or Randy Travis as DC, if he runs a 4-3, he will have a top 25 defense, guaranteed.

Shannon makes 333k per year at UCF, since UF has to pay him 1.4 mil through 2020. If Miami ends up with Shannon at 400k per year, that's a **** of a bargain since the extra dough can go other places like assistants and OL coach. If you think Shannon at 400k per year for DC isnt a good deal, then with all due respect, you are an assclown.
