Interested to hear why. Good coach while he was here. Very good recruiter. Went on to coach LB at Seattle and was assistant coach his last year. So he checks all the boxes. What are the negatives?

This is bull.

Most here who have arguments against alums coaching is because those alums haven’t coached and they don’t want them to go through the growing pains at Miami.

Obviously Barrow doesn’t apply to that argument, but he wasn’t so good that he’d be a can’t miss add.

Pretty sure I heard on a podcast (I don't remember which one) that he said that he would not coach in college again b/c it was just too much between recruiting and having to 'babysit' the kids all of the time. Now people change their minds all of the time...

I don’t understand why people are opposed to the idea? Is it because he is a former Cane and a ton of people on the board always want to bring back former Canes? Is it because he’s retired or past his prime? If it’s the latter I understand. If it’s because he’s a former Cane I don’t get it because he was here before and I think he did a **** of a job and that’s when No D was here running that garbage *** defense. He would definitely be a tremendous upgrade over Blake and even Manny for that matter. I am of the minority on the board who really likes Manny and pray he succeeds.
