Jerome...

That wouldn't be fair. He would absolutely destroy the pansy kids playing today. OL running off the field crying saying he wasn't nice and said mean things after the play. QB's and RB's quitting the game middle of the second quarter. NCAA would probably step in say Jerome Brown's were illegal. God Bless Jerome. I bet he looks down and smiles watching Nesta play the game. I'm not saying Nesta gonna be Jerome, but there are similarities.

Go Canes!

Interesting that the best defensive player of all time isnt top of list.

If you want DT, it’s brown, or kennedy. Unless you go off nfl performance, where wilfork joins the equation.

If Lb, it’s Lewis.

If S, imo it’s ST, but cannot argue with reed. And young fellas today won’t recall bennie blades, but he was awesome also.

Yes, Hendricks should be mentioned.

If offense, you pick QB first, probably McKinnie second, Edge third, Irvin fourth. I take Kelly as the QB.

I was still in diapers when Jim Kelly played here and I know he is considered an all time great but why him over say Gino,Steve or Dorsey?

Looking at his stats while here in Miami, they are not overwhelming.

'79 48-104 46.2 pct 5 TD 6 INT
'80 109-206 52.9 pct 11 TD 7 INT
'81 168-285 58.9 pct 14 TD 14 INT
'82 51-81 63 pct 3 TD 1 INT

It was a different age. Dude is a HOFer for a reason. You put Kelly on a modern team and he puts up crazy stats.

My pick would be either Kelly or Kosar. I still think we win two more titles had Kosar not left so **** early.

That was a different time for QB stats. In general they've improved over the years as the passing game has become a bigger part of the offense. But, Kelly wasn't here for the great Miami teams, it was just starting to get built up - something he contributed greatly to.

But more importantly, Kelly was an EASY hall of famer, while the other QB's aren't anywhere close. That's why it's Kelly.

I understand the Hall of Fame notion but I'm not talking about what these quarterbacks went on to do in the NFL. I'm talking about strictly what they did in college.. We have no idea how Kelly would have fared with this team had he been the QB say for the 91 or 01 season but we do know how Dorsey and Gino did.

Certainly I can see that Kelly would be better suited to run an RPO style offense over Dorsey and Gino however I would imagine that are coaching staff would be smart enough to run their offense based on their strength.

In addition to the stats comment.. Regardless of Era.. 14 TD's against 14 INT's is the same regardless of year it was played in.
