Jarrid Williams has been our best imo. Then Gaynor. Actually thought the combination of campbell Zion on the left side with gaynor scaife and Williams was our best combo..I know campbell been working back from injury and Williams was dinged up too. Then you're blind! He's been one of the better lineman this year
In their defense, many of the people were saying that before he put on a ridiculous amount of muscle during the offseason. All of the so called experts on this site that insisted Nelson needed to redshirt (don't bother with the everyone is redshirting this year comment) this year and not even sniff the field need to delete their account.
I get what you saying but by your logic, “irrational star whores” were being proven correct every week because he was a starting 2* freshman at the second most important position on offense. But I agree with you about the developmental part and the intangibles. The reason why he was maligned on here last yr, is because this dyck sucking fanbase is filled with irrational star whores. If they had any sense whatsoever, they would've realized that OL is a developmental position, and what ultimately determines the rate of development, is intangibles, not stars. Smh. This kid had elite intangibles from day 1, and that's why he will turn himself into a legitimate NFL prospect before its all said & done.
Easier to find big foot riding a unicorn chasing a mermaid than to find those here..I think most rational people realized he was set up to fail
between **** recruiting and an inept OC, there was no way he should have been in that spot
awesome to see him starting to shine
Indeed. NFL talent gets brought up here quite a bit. Miami needs good-great college football players...what they do on Sundays is great, but doesn’t mean **** to me if they didn’t produce here on Saturdays...I’ve always agreed with you here
NFL potential is great and not taking that away at all, but sometimes that overshadows who can be a good college football player
look at recruiting for the answer
a lot of local ballers get overlooked because they don’t have NFL potential, when they can still rip up college
Ye who has spoken the Pure Truth, I Salute You!The reason why he was maligned on here last yr, is because this dyck sucking fanbase is filled with irrational star whores. It's negativity because you're thinking about what he did as an underweight, understrengthed, undercoached true freshmans thrown to the wolves in a **** system and not focusing on what he's doing now. It's the definition of negativity.I don’t think it’s negativity..I’m not rooting against the kid..I just don’t trust it yet
I’m not just going off last year..I know I brought up Bethune. But imo the oline functioned best with 74 at LT, 66 at LG, 65 at C, 51 at RG, 62 at RTIt's negativity because you're thinking about what he did as an underweight, understrengthed, undercoached true freshmans thrown to the wolves in a **** system and not focusing on what he's doing now. It's the definition of negativity.
Now you know better than to come on CIS and start making sense. It’s great to see him progress.
A few things were clear last year. He wasn’t ready. No one could have expected otherwise. It’s an indictment of our OL and staff and other kids at the spot that Zion had to get thrown out there before he was ready.
It’s also a good way to illustrate why I’m often critical of simplistic ‘nfl kids’ statistics that get posted around here. Zion may well play in the NFL. That won’t be evidence of his being a good player in 2019. That’s why you have to look at actual roster talent, experience, depth, maturity at the time, and can’t just conclude some nfl stat from years later tells the story. If one team had a few future nfl players on its OL who weren’t game ready, and another team had juniors and seniors on its OL who weren’t nfl kids but we’re tough and experienced college kids, which do you think likely has a better OL?
