Brian Hightower in the portal

So, just as I suspected, Jagr. Nothing specific. Just more baseless contrarianism and attempts to agitate your superiors with misplaced condescension.

Just about every one of your 37k+ posts are baseless speculation.

Not sure you get this but nobody anointed you king of the Canes board.

lmao at flipping burgers. a. i went to the school so it would've been a real waste if i ended up flipping burgers after four years of a UM edu. b. i donate back to the school multiple times annually so i do my part in supporting the school where it matters. c. i called out every banner flying person here. d. you wanted to take this entertainment (yes, its sports. its entertainment for fans, not real life) personal, thats on you. ill see you at a tailgate and we can meet and finally discuss canes football and the issues affecting it in a civilized manner. anyways, good luck to you and hightower in arizona. hope he made the right decision for his career, but from the optics and every pod i heard on it, yes it comes off that way when you leave in the middle of the season (same goes for JT last year). in the end, i dont give a **** who catches a ball at UM as long as hes wearing a canes jersey. also, its a message board lol.

LOL at Louie Bossi. Makes sense though since food in Orlando is terrible.
While I'm no expert at food in Orlando by any means, I ate at Morimoto's restaurant at Disney Springs this past weekend and holy sh-t was it good!

And what is their M.O. there? Why would coaches willingly hold back a player that they think would help the team if on the field? How would that possibly benefit them, the ones with their own jobs on the line? I'm not saying you're wrong, dsd, it just doesn't make any sense to me. And "because our staph sucks" isn't what I'm looking for. Someone give me a rational answer as to why the staff would do that.

all ive gotten is were clueless, we dont know ****, or youre a hater lol.

Kids not part of the team anymore. Let him enjoy his time elsewhere. Why has this thread reached 31 pages? People white knighting for Hightower are the same that killed Reed or D. Smith. Now everyone is so understanding lol. Miami will be fine and I’m sure he will be too.

lol people are sucking up a few of the "insiders" for staff gossip.

I'd also like to know why the staff is sabotaged him...
Why does it have to be sabotage? Was it sabotage when Rousseau wasn't starting? Some coaches have favorites or their own agendas for whatever reason. I've seen it at different levels. I do find it funny if Dugans was saying anything at FSU considering BH didn't get hardly any playing time under him either.

Dugans saying anything is par for the course. Contradicting but still poignant based on the fact that there’s more emotion involved in these choices than actual reason. So, Dugans takes aim at the emotion - which I’m sure he’s still feeling a certain way after being let go himself.

With that being said, IF we would have hired a better replacement for Dugans, we likely wouldn’t be experiencing this turnover.

Sabotage? Really? That would imply intent. Now maybe some are their own worst enemy, but sabotage? Nah, total b.s. Yes, they want to ***** a young man over and in turn hurt themselves. They just can't wait to hit the unemployment line or best case scenario, take a pay cut.

Anyhow, wondered why this thread was still going on. Guy is gone, good riddance, and best of luck.

ROTFLMFAO at "On every Pod I heard"....
Where the F were your optics as Hightower made 4 & 5* DBs look like Sh*t at several camps??....Talk UM FB in a Civilized manner??...You mean civilized like calling a 19yr old kid a quitter, and Garbage, and then implying not much of a loss, when in actuality, it's the Grade school coaching staff who's to blame??....Lol...what a joke...

that reminds me of the old joke...

“You’re *******! Hey, no offense, man.”

What most individuals apparently arent bright enough to understand is in this day and age coaches dont stop recruiting kids just because they commit & play elsewhere. They continue to recruit kids weekly especially when they see a kid being misused & hear the stories going on in house. There is NO SECRETS in coaching circles. When a kid has numerous coaches from Jeff Scott to dugans to cristobal to Helton to chip kelly to lincoln riley and plenty of others telling you what a travesty it is to watch how you're being used it's tough. Feel free to think I pushed him elsewhere. It's stupid but yall allowed ur own feelings. Me all I care about in this instance is my nephew being happy. His teammates understand well when they constantly tell coaches etc why arent they looking for him when hes beasting kids in practice weekly. Last part for the people who would like to call him a quitter I wont even get into his health & his future being more important than the present. What the early signing period has created is when kids transfer it's real sketchy. Most real universities will have their kids picked out by the end of the season for next class & the student still has to take trips to plan out his path. Timing wise it is cutting it very close. If you dont believe in where you're at you're better off dedicating your efforts to what matters. The sad part is if anyone knew the lengths staff has gone through to hold kids back it would be apparent why so many will leave.
This is part of the problem, why in the heck are you still communicating with coaches from other schools when you are on a team? It's a joke and a society problem. There should be a tampering rule against this crap.

Well we all knew 15 was the real deal and our coaches couldn’t. After that ish idk who the better players are!!

Ask @dsddcane. As BH's uncle I assume he's witnessed this first hand to levy the claim. I suppose Manny is dumb enough to care more about "holding kids back" than keeping his job, but then again we've only heard vague sprinklings from one side of the story.

There is actually. He will claim otherwise, but everyone here can read between the lines here on who was on one end of the line during these so called "coach" calls. I know one coach he reached out to personally.

I get it, but what I don't get is why leave in middle of the season? Kid already lost his chance to redshirt, why not just play out the rest of the season then deuce out during the off season...he is throwing away 1/3rd of season's playing time, as reduced as that may be.

BH reached out to the coach or the uncle did?

Ego.

Same reason coaches have been destroying careers (including their own) with favoritism since the beginning of organized sports.

It is more prevalent than you can imagine. Often gets called “politics”.

There is a rule against tampering with players on teams. But if they’re all doing it then they won’t turn each other in.
