Brett Romberg podcast featuring ahmmon richards

Wait till people hear the stuff that went on with ahmmon. Im sure the university settles before it goes public or with the caveat of no disclosure. Not a good look for us. Long & the short of it hes suing the university

Wouldn't surprise me. The timeline with him always looked suspect with the injuries etc. Then he completely disconnect from the team when he retired and the brother goes elsewhere.

Something just didn't add up for a player as beloved as him.

He went and explained the neck injury in an earlier podcast with Romberg. He was experiencing neck pains much earlier before the LSU game. Good thing it was discovered and it didn’t become anymore serious such as it affecting him walking or anything like that. It was a great interview and just really make you feel for the kid. Loved his interview today with Romberg as well
If he’s got a lawsuit going it’ll be interesting if he has said anything in all these interviews that doesn’t jive with what his lawyers are going to coach him to say under oath.

Last thing I'll post about this because I respect the kids privacy and don't know all the facts. But generally if you are suing someone and are seeking compensation that requires a non disclosure, the matter being kept private is the root of the litigation and the reason for compensation.
No it isn’t.

This is true, they're arguing he was sixth-seventh round pick so his payout won't be as big from the insurance company. Very sad to hear.

Sure it is. If one party is paying compensation in exchange for silence, the silence is part of the value.

That’s TV show nonsense.

I think I have a pretty good grasp on resolving these types of disputes, as I’ve been doing it at an elite level for 25 years. But I appreciate the fallacious lesson you’re trying to give me. Can I use this for CLE credits?

They pay big money because they fcked up and then they try to buy your silence with a settlement agreement/release AFTER there’s big money figures in place.

No one pays big money for silence. There’s no plaintiff’s attorney worth a fleck of ***** who will agree to confidentiality BEFORE there’s a big offer in place and the case is being wrapped up

I’m a student of human nature, and the herd mentality is a very interesting phenomenon.

You're mistaking confidentiality as part of a negotiated settlement and dismissal with the root cause of litigation, which is a claim that someone has been injured/sustained damages due to another party's negligence, breach of contract, etc.

Sounds like a common earning potential after injury analysis/negotiation.

It's business. Why the dramatics?

In parallel, get Lo on the field now. Now. Now.

Oh.....

If there was a lawsuit coming he wouldn’t be doing public interviews. Unless either he or his lawyers are idiots.

When are you guys going to learn not to listen to @dsddcane ? Dude is a drama queen of epic proportions. I feel bad for his nephew because he’s a good kid. Hate it for him and this program that his Uncle is a cancer.
