Well, if you go the coordinator route, then you go with somebody with a real pedigree. Venables was Co-DC for OU in 2000 and DC for CU in 2016. Assistant at KSU when they were really good in 1997.

Venables is a solid coach, but I don't know if he'd mix well with the culture down here.
