Totally agree but I feel like the higher ups are very short sighted

He'll either be coaching Clemsin when Dabo heads to Bama or Kansas State when Snyder steps down. Whichever happens first.
 
Venables will never leave Clemson unless they escort him out or if Dabo leaves and Dabo ain’t going anywhere either.

True, they owe a lot of their success to richt not recruiting Watson though. Big rise in Clemson is better athletes coming out of Georgia and SC. They learned the bag game from the best though, we should do the same.

He’s one of the two coordinators without HC experience that would actually intrigue me as a HC here.

It doesn’t matter though, lol.

agreed, Clemson has a support staff QC guys, analysts etc that he would never have at Miami. big programs can and will spend the $$$
take a look at the explosive money UGA invested in people and facilities once Kirby told UGA this is what it takes
imagine that was conversation that Butch had in terms of people and $$$$
and B.James got scared big time.
Dabo will not leave he is the JJ or the Bear Bryant of Clemson... book it

I said Aranda in another thread and think his no BS/intelligent approach he's done at Utah St, Wisconsin and LSU (also associate hc there) is a pretty interesting possibility.

I realize offense is in vogue but he seems smart enough to hire a good OC and is more likely for the LSU improvement than the idiot they have as HC.
 
Would hate to lose diaz and u want to go offense.. but he has consistent top defenses, can receuit at high level for it, knows acc very well and how to defend the differemt teams like gt, plus he is comfortable coaching with uptempo offense and doesnt make excuse of tiring his defense and he cant stop other team.

So u get benefit of maybe him bringing one of clemson oc with him. We could do worse..

It could make sense, so he obviously wouldnt be a candidate and if he was interviewed he probably would be too confident for bot and rub them wrong
