Stats tell me hes not a point guard. More of a SG. Good shooter, so good pickup.

I wonder if this means Dante will be used more as a PG this szn, or Dorn will slide down to the 3 some. The lineup will definitely have a lot of positional versatility. I just hope Dante really works on his handles if thats the case.

Are they still recruiting Bivins? Ideally you'd get him as the backup PG and the Allen & Bland take the minutes at the 2

Very interesting, I thought we were done at the guard position after Dorn. Hard to say how many minutes he’ll get, but I’m ecstatic. Decent player added into an already good room. Can’t be lazy out on the court, we have quality depth that will push for more minutes.

Not sure we have the minutes available. Dorn will play a lot at the two. Unless Bivins is ok being a developmental guy first year.
We’re recruiting three* similar sized point guards in ‘27. Idk how many we’ll get yet all 3 are better than Bivins tbh.

Darius Bivins is good however him being a McDonald’s all-American is a bit of a red herring because his HS coach was the chairman of the selection committee

Thats good to know. I was curious was he was such an outlier ranking wise from the players selected at that game. Who sre the other pgs were on?

I’d def still take Bivins because he is a playmaker on both sides of the ball and despite the inadequate three point shooting he shot 90% on FT which is a great indicator of potential future improvement.

I just know Jai, as a small guard himself whose dad thought he should stick to tennis because of his size, that he favors being + sized at every position if he can. Don’t think it’ll hurt us with next year’s guys but I wanna take two if possible.

Rafer Alston Jr, Tyrone Jamison, and Cayden Daughtery. All ‘27 guys. Beckham Black is being recruited very hard as well however that’s an Arkansas/USC battle all the way.
