Im not saying Sorsby should be allowed to play, im just saying gambling is literally promoted as part of the sport and all these teams taking this moral high ground all have players who gamble and done much worse ..if they really have an issue with gambling it should be banned completely from college football.

Most of these schools would've did the same thing Texas Tech did if the alternative was playing your season with the third QB on the depth chart especially UGA, dont let them fool you

Perhaps you are right, but we do not know that YET. That is my whole problem with this situation. If we have Canes betting on other things, I don't give a ****, if we have Canes betting on our games, yes I have a problem and would not care if they were suspended.

Posters keep posting the trust issue.

How did all those players getting paid under the table trust each other when such heinous violations of NCAA rules occurred?

It’s an outrage!!!

Yeah while we’re at it let’s ban everything else that can be detrimental if someone doesn’t follow a clear rule

And if they are at least 1% as retarded as Sorsby, then they have most likely been flagged, investigated, and reported by ProhiBet (or similar), just like they reported Sorsby to Cincinnati in August 2025. The Big 12 also had access to this info. The conferences contracts ProhiBet. Every conference contracts some similar service. Cincinnati and the Big 12 did nothing. So why are they outraged now? It’s not far-fetched to believe other schools/conferences have similar instances of players being reported by ProhiBet.

Last week we found out from the NCAA court filing that Sorsby was also flagged and reported by ProhiBet to Cincinnati also in August of 2024 and that is when one of his accounts was banned. He had to take a gambling information course at Cincinnati. AND THIS IS BECAUSE HE WAS FLAGGED FOR PLACING 40 BETS ON HIS OWN TEAM.

So Cincinnati knew for two seasons. The Big 12 had access to this information for 2 seasons. Nothing happened except Sorsby had to watch a PowerPoint presentation.

I’m not buying the outcry by the Big 12.

It's a locker room issue that this even has to be a question. He placed all sorts of bets, not just Wins and losses. If he bet they get the over, is he going to make stupid mistakes when its not neccesary? We already question why tf Mario didn't kneel against GT. Imagine if we knew the RB was a gambling addict LOL

So he is an addict? Seems like that is up for debate and some feel he is using addiction as an excuse.

We question Mario not kneeling because it was one of the most braindead coaching decisions in sports history, cost our team a sure win and derailed a complete season. Him having a gambling addiction would make me feel better about that decision because it would be explainable.

theyre literally allowed to bet just not on college sports or their own team.

We literally have college basketball and their point shaving scandals more than enough. We had NBA players participate in illegal gambling related to performances on court. We had soccer players do it.

Football is next anyway. The same people who don't cry foul play now are the same one's who will ***** about a ref that ruined their parlay.

the NBA one should be a cautionary tale but sorsby looks like the next guy to end up in a mafia ring bc he lost too many bets. hes a person who got paid too much for what he can handle and manage and is being coddled.

the funny part is that he isnt even that good. hes was really overhyped imo.

My point is yeah what he did was immoral and against the "rules' and he ultimately shouldn't be able to play but it wasn't a crime and at the end of the day he was ruled eligible by the courts it is what it is fam i dont wanna hear UGA and OSU of all teams crying about it.. ..betting is one of the biggest money makers in sports right now if not the biggest they literally show you spreads and over/unders while you watch games, and now we're outraged cause a kid who rode the bench got caught betting on his team to win? lol....like i said if one of our best players got caught doing what sorsby did and was ruled eligible to play this season I wanna see how many of yall would boycott Canes football............
