Guys the fact they will appeal likely means very little for this season. The injunctions runs through end of trial which doesn’t take place until after season. The appeal would need like an emergency/expedited hearing with maybe only like oral arguments, and even then is that happening in <3 months? Will the appeal court rule him ineligible at that point? I mean **** THIS judge just said he’s face irreparable harm, yet if he isn’t ruled ineligible in the next like month press he won’t even be able to enter the supplemental draft! So he faces FAR MORE harm now with this injunction and will be one of the reasons the appeal likely will fail or not even be heard in time the season starts. And will they overrule this injunction. Mid season? Hope so, but I have my doubts

Yes, which is why jontay porter and Terry rozier were/are facing federal felonies.

I guess the difference here is that sorsby didnt play in these games.

Boy thats a tricky line tho. What if the qb in front of sorsby got hurt and he had to enter. That is the difference between all good and a felony?

There is a good comparison that I cant remember right now. Like why the ncaa cant punish schools (instead of players) for transfer portal violations or something. It probably comes down to anti-trust/collusion affects.

Even if he didn't directly effect the outcome he had insider knowledge that DID effect the outcome. He knew who was sick, or dinged up or if N'Kosi Perry banged the kickers GF etc... There is a reason that Pete Rose is STILL banned from Baseball. The fact that this jerkoff can play THIS SEASON in the face of overwhelming evidence that he bet on his own team is egregious.
 
Shocker that a Texas Tech judge will allow him eligibility. I guess there was a reason why the school seemed a bit calm on the matter.

They need to flex in some way, do the same thing they did with spring portal where coaches would be suspended and team fined or something.. Just say whatever team plays a player, its ok and fine but will be exhibition for fans and well being of gambling player
 
Hear me out. During the Bucs bye week, we should get let Bain and Scott play. Just find a Florida judge to file and injunction. Super easy
