Isn't probable, imminent, irreparable injury the entire point of a punishment?
 
This is the most Good Ole Boys kinda **** I can remember since the Dukes of Hazard. This is right up there with Saban getting Riley's uncle outa of jail to get him to go to Bammer, but this time it's a freaking judge!
 
I’m sorry but this ACTUALLY does more to ruin CFB than other bs. With this ruling why exactly would a player ever be suspended for taking PEDs/Roids? I mean arguing they take it for medical reasons therefore I can’t be punished is far more reasonable than saying well I had an addiction therefore you can’t punish me
 
So let me get this straight....

If I was a Texas Tech alum rather than a UM alum, aside from the obvious commentary like my life would suck more and I would make less money, I would be getting asked to contribute to a collective in order to pay players to play for my alma mater. Said players could/would then have six/seven figure incomes (while also getting a "scholarship") that they could use to make bets. If those bets happen to be discovered, they would be ignored by the governing body, regardless as to whether or not said player(s) made bets on their own team. I would then check my email and see another mesage from RedRaidersConnection asking me to up my monthly contribution.

Here's the proof that I'm getting old - Fucc that.
 
this kind of stuff is going to end up ******** over the players in the long run when Congress finally gets tired of it and starts listening to the Sabans
 
what’s to stop the NCAA or playoff committee from saying any game he plays in is a forfeit and TT won’t be able to participate in the post season? This ruling is for Sorsby specifically right?

And you think the ncaa wont be sued for that immediately? Those guys cant even scratch their *** without getting sued and losing at this point. Judge would say no you cant scratch your *** because maybe players want to scratch it and you'd take that opportunity from them.

I’m sure they would. But I think this is the hill they have to die on. Gotta raise the stakes (pun intended)
 
Isn't it illegal to gamble on something you can control the outcome of? Like, not for the NCAA but the actual law? Couldn't someone sue Sorsby for fraud?
