It's unfortunately the reality and is extremely common. The majority of these football players are only betting on the big games, which is definitely a slippery slope

Underage Gambling

The legal sports betting age in both Indiana and Ohio is 21.

Sorsby didn’t turn 21 until January 2025, meaning the thousands of wagers reportedly placed during his time at Indiana (2022–23) and early at Cincinnati (2024) would have occurred while under 21.

Illegal Sports Wagering & Use of Others’ Accounts

According to filings, after transferring to Texas Tech, Sorsby allegedly sent roughly $5,000 to out-of-state proxies to place bets on his behalf while physically located in Texas, where online sports betting remains illegal.

This is a federal crime.

The filings also state he funneled more than $60,000 through a FanDuel account registered under a friend’s name and used accounts belonging to family members. Those actions allegedly bypassed age restrictions.

Yet despite all of this, he’s eligible to play.

He must be dumb as a box of rocks. This will follow him through life. Hope it was worth it.

Whether or not you think people are being holier than thou is irrelevant. This dumbass willfully, intentionally, and knowingly broke the 1 rule that says "if you do this you do this, you are gone forever!". He didn't just do that once. He did it literally thousands of times. He should 1000% never be allowed to play college football again because of those literal thousands of actions.

Spread opened at Utah -5.5. Per Fanduel 85% of the action was on Cincinnati yet the line moved to Utah -11.5 by kickoff.

I remember I really liked him as portal QB but that yearly Nov. Swoon, christmas coming up and having to pay bookie must have been serioussssss..

he did it on friends accounts family accounts and his own accounts. they all get caught if theyre doing it though. the NBA players got caught. NFL players got caught. NCAA players got caught.

if theyre all doing it, they would have been caught esp in todays world where you can find out everything.
