I think the staff can easily convince him to ditch his GF. Coming to play with Dawson, Toney and this Oline is a no brainer. If he wants to improve his draft stock and have a Heisman-caliber season, Miami is the easy choice.

Im sure its not just the gf, texas is home for him, former teammates on team already, texas tech is also a playoff team and they pay a premium over everyone, they openly pay triple the goin rate for players, now Im sure at QB they wont do that but they will be willing to pay the most, .. This seems like it was in works but lets see it play out

And we don't pay a premium? We're consistently one of the top spenders in college football. Heck, our starting QB is one of the highest-paid Qbs in college football. I'm sure Texas Tech is doing everything they can to get him. Going there isn't the wisest decision ever

Nothing in my post said we didnt, lol.. Of course we do.. Just stating how tt is moving.. I know we will be biased on this board but just putting other reasons why he might be looking that way..

If there was a perfect QB, he wouldnt be in the portal. He would be in the NFL draft as a 1st round pick.

People were even nitpicking Cam Ward (the fumbles). Aiden Chiles was rated higher than Ward. Beck had many flaws too, injury and Georgia was happy for him to leave.

Every single option at qb will have a negative trait. People need to stop thinking were going to get perfection out of the portal at QB (from day 1)

I wasn't overly impressed when I watched him against BYU.

It’s been said Tech paid doubke the going rate or close to it to convince kids to go to Lubbock this past season
 
Idk who it’ll be, but my $$$ is on Mario pulling a sure fire option at QB. He knows we cannot afford to have a setback year due to gambling on an unproven option.

I just don’t know if Bailey has showed enough

Totally agree. Very mediocre bunch all together so far and even the ones rumored to may be going in. Not a popular take but Bailey is by far the most impressive qb being rumored from an upside perspective in my view

There’s no sure thing out there brother. They all have flaws . Find the best fit for your scheme that processes things quickly.

You could count on one hand the number of question marks against Cam and Beck.

This offseason though? Gonna have a lot of CIS episodes breaking down the flaws of whatever quarterback we end up getting.

Likely still have more positives than negatives. But there will be legitimate gripes about whoever we get this go around.

At least, Bailey destroyed GT and he’s younger, more potential. Theres no sure thing like Mateer and Beck in the TP yet.

I agree there is no sure thing. Also GT defense was terrible so using that doesnt help point out that Bailey isnt any better. Bailey mostly throws to his TE too.......that wont work well in Miamis offense
