Breaking - Mark Emmert stepping down in 2023

Did your organization want any part of Mario Cristabol as a head coach after he was fired from FIU? Not hardly. Mario took the BAMA job for the same reason a lot of ex-head coaches take the BAMA job. To figure it out. You and I know Miami was carefully watching the Oregon situation to see if Mario learned anything. Then, and only then, did Mario become this hot commodity in South Beach.

Now the narrative and history seem to be needing, even more, tweaking by the orange and green masses as the "4th quarter program" and the BAMA way starts taking shape. At this rate, I figure in a year or two Mario spending even a little time in Tuscaloosa should pretty much just be ancient mythology and hearsay.
I am not going to downplay the effect and benefit his time at Bama had, but the reality is a the success of coaches out of the Saban tree as P5 head coaches is a very mixed bag. The successful ones are Mario, Jimbo, Kirby, D'Antonio, maybe Kiffin. The middle of the road/TBD are Mel Tucker. Then you have Muschamp, McElwain, Pruitt, Dooley, Locksley, Butch Jones. Sark and Napier are too early to tell. The point is just working for Saban and being around the program is some automatic success.

This porster from Alabama just keeps changing the goal posts away from the subject that Alabama was protected and allowed to cheat unlike most other schools

He will never admit that Alabama had a ridiculously unfair recruiting advantage because they were allowed to cheat all they wanted by the NCAA/Emmert. These clowns will never admit that.

But everybody else in the world knows it’s true.

Nobody is saying that they didn’t build a good infrastructure or that Saban isn’t a good coach or good recruiter, but he’s had an hugely unfair advantage for years by being allowed to cheat like crazy.

That shlt is over now and these hillbilly fūckers are going crazy.

Also FŪCK NICK SABAN. We all know why Satan is constantly criticizing NIL and wants it to change and be regulated, because it levels the playing field more, and this is why no Alabama fan wants it, they wanted that huge extra advantage that the NCAA/Emmert protection scheme provided them, and now that’s going away.

Fūck all you bammer honks.

Preach. That TUSK dude always brings it back to Saban's great coaching. He wants to ignore the fact Bama was cheating at scale others weren't able or allowed by Emmert & Co to do. Now that it's all legitimized, suddenly Emmert retires and Saban and his SEC counterparts start complaining. Classic.

More radical changes for college football overall:

The Transformation Committee, a group of high-ranking college leaders charged with overhauling and modernizing NCAA governance, is considering revolutionary changes some administrators describe as “radical.” In a briefing with athletic administrators this week in Dallas, committee leaders revealed ideas to deregulate longtime NCAA bylaws and decentralize such decisions to the conferences.

- (1) eliminating scholarship caps on sports that offer only partial scholarships;
(2) abolishing the limitation on the number of coaches per team;
(3) expanding direct payments from schools to athletes;
(4) reconfiguring the recruiting calendar;
(5) implementing closed periods in the NCAA transfer portal.

At least the first three items will be left in the decision-making hands of individual conferences, if the concepts are approved.

This committee is chaired by none other than SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey and Ohio State AD Julie Cromer.

This is some crazy ****. Four and five I get. But two and three would heavily benefit a small number of schools. The players are eventually going to end up unionizing if this passes.

Fandom aside, this guy has hurt so many young adults under the guise of "amatuerism" while he and his good ol boy club rakes in 8 figures a year on their backs with little to no regard for their financial or educational future. And one of the worst parts is how blatantly insincere he was when lying to our face that the NCAA is all about the kids and their well being. Lets not even get into how horribly he handled multiple academic and *** abuse scandals during his tenure. Makes me sick. Good riddance to one of the worst.
