Breaking - Mark Emmert stepping down in 2023

Really curious to see who they bring in. Two paths here.

Hire a nobody that's just going to collect a paycheck until the NCAA disbands
or
Hire somebody that is going to start putting in new policies (limit but not disband NIL, limit but not disband portal, etc) while trying to keep all schools happy.........................until the NCAA disbands.

All roads lead to complete and utter destruction.
They should’ve accepted NIL because that would’ve given them the ability to regulate it. That ship sailed and now they are sitting ducks.

It will be interesting to see if there is any effect with the Big 10, ACC, & Pac12 alliance. If another former SEC guy gets the job, it will just be a continuation of the Emmert era.
This is something I've been waiting to see happen for years. I always thought that the ONLY way he would step down would be due to paying players. It levels the playing field too much for his liking. Half the SEC will be fade into irrelevancy. Throw in the alliance and he sees the writing on the wall. I'm not so sure his replacement will be able to protect the SEC either.

My first thought was Oliver Luck. Seems like he has the connections and the clout to actually get something done.

Couldnt happen to a better person. He did nothing to Penn State for allowing kids to get raped on campus for over a decade, turned a blind eye to Alabama and the rest of the SEC's cheating all the while having hired hit men and women in an attempt to shut down Miami football. He's between a ****roach and a toilet bug, imo.

So here's to you Mark Emmert. You deserve 100 million more of these🖕

If they want a Nobody to hire and collect a paycheck, I have excellent credentials. I'll even work from home.
