USC: 28-15 (not a good record for a USC program, hilariously fired at the airport)

FAU: 25-13 (****** program and conference, plus similar to Butch’s record at FIU and everyone here says he sucks)

Nothing there is great. Sorry man. He’s proven to be a pretty good coordinator and a very overrated coach.

And “not having a losing record” is certainly not a defining characteristic of a good coach. Manny currently doesn’t have a losing record either.

Lane can coach after today he should have 2 conf championships. FAU was terrible before he arrived. Like as an alum i cudnt even watch a full game. How he will do at olemiss depends at the deck is stacked against him

Also and I know this will hurt to say because I love me some Miami guys, but Shannon has proven to be a very, very pedestrian DC without multiple first round picks starting and backing up the starters.

The deck is stacked against him.

Ole Miss will be allowed its bagmen activity, but if Lane raises the game and starts competing for top-end recruits then the NCAA will come down upon him. There's an order to be maintained. Ole Miss has its place in it, and it is not on the top of the SEC.

And don't discount lingering bad feelings from Tennessee.
