Camdin Portis is another guy that we are a fan of from this class. This young man is a beast that makes plays on defense. He has the talent to play offense, but he works out at defensive back when he attends camps and combines. Portis is a player that knows how to get busy with his hands and feet in coverage. He is a guy that is able to go up against bigger receivers as well. Portis was able to go against Kendre Harrison and Portis did a good job during that rep. He is a guy that is definitely going to continue to see his stock rise. He holds several offers including one from Ole Miss. Mississippi State has yet to offered him yet.

Portis' offer count has since ticked past two dozen. In addition to the Tar Heels, that list features Arkansas, Auburn, Boston College, Colorado, Florida, Georgia Tech, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Ole Miss, NC State, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, UCLA, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and West Virginia.

Extra Points

Unsurprisingly, Portis grew up as a Miami fan... Portis trains with Captain Munnerlyn, who spent 10 seasons at cornerback in the NFL -- mostly with the Carolina Panthers -- and Antoine Bethea, who played safety in the NFL for 14 years. Munnerlyn played college ball at South Carolina, while Bethea played at Howard... Portis is considering running track for Myers Park High this coming spring.
