And THIS is why it's impossible to have a rational conversation on this board with some of our "Fans". Landing one high end guy doesn't change the fact that Miami ran a half assed search, and completely screwed the pooch on the process. Is it possible that Miami lucked into something special? Of course, anything is possible.

That said, no one said that Lucas couldn't recruit, what people said was that the jury was out in regards to him recruiting outside the blueblood bubble, because he's never done it. We also don't know what he's going to look like on gameday. We're all hoping for the best, but let's not crown a guy because he managed to pull a guy that he had multiple hooks in. It's a great signing, end of discussion.

Well, everybody needs to take a deep breath. Randy Shannon was tied for the top recruiting class in his first year as well.

Lucas could end up being bad ***, but he hasn’t coached a single game yet….so it is hilarious watching the polar opposites say he is a horrible hire or how great of coach he is…
