...by Athlon nearly a month ago.

Anyways, Berrios can return punts if it makes the staff comfortable as long as Harley, Thomas, or someone with actual speed is running back kicks.

We should only have South Florida players returning punts. They are genetically and mentally superior because they played Optimist youth football.

If you say you'd rather see someone else back there, someone more explosive/dangerous, I feel you.

If you say Berrios sucks or is terrible as a PR then you're wrong.

BB is pretty much the conservative sure thing not to fumble and get you a few yards but he aint gona take it to the house or change the momentum of a game
Gimme JT$

How many punts are being returned for touchdowns though?

6 players returned more than one punt for a TD last season.

Berrios doesn't fumble, doesn't lose yardage, occasionally makes a big play. He's good enough imo.

I hear this argument a lot. BB may not have the ability to be a "game changer" as a punt returner, but he also does a great job of getting decent yardage while not fumbling, etc (i.e. he doesn't change the momentum of the game in a negative way). It all depends how conservative Richt wants this year's team to be. With a freshman QB (assuming Perry wins the job), and a stud defense, we may end up in a lot of low scoring games. Having a dependable senior punt returner that isn't going to make the bonehead play or fumble the ball may be the better option.

If we don't have the players that are threatening to take it to the house every time they touch the ball, then this would be fine. But if Jeff Thomas can be 3/4th's of the player that HoF'er Devin Hester is, then he should take punts instead.

Athlon gave us 5 on the first team all ACC, including Walton, Herndon and Richards. More generous than most publication
