Brandon Walker’s Top 15 Quarterbacks

H

Great list, LCE. I think Rogers is solid, too, but it’s hard for me to decipher if it’s a product of Leach’s pass-happy offense. Your thoughts?
He absolutely is a product of Leach’s Offense.

My list was based on College resume & projection for what they’re going to do this season, not NFL capability.

I don't think so.

I'm not saying he's some great QB, but he's already sat down a few former 5-stars and some key metrics say he isn't a bum (10ypa!!)

He throws a lot of underneath stuff, some into windows. Makes some smart throws. Occasionally, he's making legit THROWS, brother. This is the college game...Top 15 aren't all going to be fighter pilots.

Pass to Pickens early, TD to Mitchell to take the lead(!!), dump off to Bowers on 3rd n 1 with a dude in his face to put Alabama down all very nice plays in the national championship game. He absolutely lead them in that game. Won MVP.

Watched the game...him throwing under 10 yd passes all game and 50/50 balls didnt impress me.
Had Bama wrs all not been hurt an their o could do anything him having to actually win it wouldve been interesting.

Again did you see anything in their that Malik Rosier couldnt do?. **** Malik Rosier through better dimes in his FSU WIN.
You taking Bennett over TVD?. Him "sitting" 5 stars aint saying much when the person starting him is a corch offensively. UGA would be on MNC 2 or 3 right now if he would of knew how to evaluate his qb room.
They wont win it this year though lol

You're wildin right now. He's better than Rosier.

Of course I'm not taking Bennett over Van Dyke...but I'd take him over Spencer Rattler or Taulia Tagavailoa from the list in OP, for example.

I’m not really impressed with Levis personally, he doesn’t really do anything all that special to me & that entire Offense is predicated off the Run game. He looks pretty average to me tbh, but they have a really good Rushing offense that makes the whole thing look better than it really is IMHO.

You could probably replace Leary or Grant Wells with Caleb, he’s a good QB IMO & he’ll be in a system that benefits him greatly & he’s surrounded with weapons so it will be interesting to see what his production is like.

I don’t see it with Levis, I could be completely wrong but he looks super pedestrian to me.

The Offense they run protects him a great deal & he doesn’t have to make any critical throws.

He’s the perfect Game manager QB that a lot of NFL OC’s would love because he’s not going to do anything off script, but in terms of raw pure talent he looks Andy Dalton style regular to me.

I knew there was something about Levis that didn’t sit right with me 🤢🤮...

This list is pretty fair. I think TVD has more NFL upside than Stroud and Bryce but as far as college performance, ok to put him at 3.

I cannot comprehend why Spencer Rattler keeps popping up on these lists. The guy looked mediocre at best at OU, and that's being generous. And this is with perhaps the best offensive mind in the country, and a very talented OL, and WR and RB core. I wonder whether these folks actually watch games.
Well, Quinn Ewers is on the list and he’s never taken a college snap and is already on his second school.

So actually watching games might have very little to do with it.

Idk how you can have Caleb Williams or Quinn Ewers on any preseason top 15 lists. There’s too many good QB’s this year that have actually earned those spots.
If TVD has earned a spot then caleb deserves one too, both played 5 games.TVD numbers are better but Caleb played better competition, both gotta prove the hype is real this year

1. Bryce Young
2. CJ Stroud
3. Aidan O’Connell
4. Tyler Van Dyke
5. Jake Haener
6. Sam Hartman
7. Devin Leary
8.Grayson McCall
9.Caleb Williams
10.Cade McNamara
11.Sean Clifford
12.Will Rogers
13. Brennan Armstrong
14. Phil Jurkovec
15.Quinn Ewers

My list is very different than others, but this is how I see it from watching college football every week in the fall.

Had to throw Ewers at 15 cuz I assume he’ll be in the top 15 somewhere
Clifford is ungodly bad. Like unwatchable. He’s not top 50 let alone top 11. The kid they have from Canada is better.

Liberty, Where is the usc transfer Caleb williams?

Not official but I am seeing lots of smoke that Texas will announce Hudson over Ewers as the starting QB.

Ewers playing likely puts Arch at risk though. I’m sure if it’s close and Sark has the backing he needs from UT official he gets an equal level QB and keeps Arch from looking at UGA or Ole Miss again.

Probably, but I think he knows that, too.

So, if he’s willing to start Card, that must mean that Ewers has insanely underperformed.
I’m inclined to believe it has more to do with his style than his performance.

Sark is a NFL guy & prefers safe formulaic decision making, stay within the confines of the Offense, run what we call & stick with it. Ewers is Big Arm off-script Gun-Slinger & some Offensive coaches genuinely hate that because they don’t like having to constantly rein a guy in.

If Sark can’t convert that arm talent into a capable starter in the last year of the Big XII he’s doing it wrong.

Fair enough. I could definitely see that being the case.
