This thread has made it official: board turned to **** and we have so many fans who feel Miami is inferior to other programs. At least I got to neg a bunch of posters.

Kid is gone and here are the reasons:

Next year: UCLA QB Huntley will be top 3 QB pick in draft. Williams will definitely start for us next year.
l
Depth Chart: UCLA has no QB in there 2014 class and no top QBs as backups. There current # 2 is a 3 star, Jerry Neuhisel, who is the son of the ex coach. There are also 2 other freshman unknown 3 stars. Kid would have a chance to start from day one.
Our Depth Chart: Williams will start next year. We took Baby Jesus the year before. Rosier for this year.

Kid is a momma's boy and mommy dearest wants him close buy *********. Kid was waiting on this offer which no one on this board knows about.

Case closed.

One of the top QBs from the class of 2013 who happened to have signed with UCLA says hello dip****. http://247sports.com/Player/Asiantii-Woulard-18462

His coach on Brad getting a UCLA offer:
Brad Kaaya, a critical piece of UM's 2014 recruiting class and Rivals.com's No. 8 quarterback prospect, received an offer from hometown UCLA today. His mother said UCLA "is an awesome program that he respects. At this time, he is committed to the University of Miami.”

But the Los Angeles Times reported today that UCLA's offer will be considered. "Any kid in Los Angeles would be interested in UCLA," said Ed Croson, his coach at Chaminade High in Hollywood Hills. "He's firmly committed to Miami, but I think he's flattered."

I think this is a situation our staff needs to keep an eye on, but with Golden, I'm not worried at all. I have no doubt that he's on top of things, and if Kaaya does bolt, he has a Plan B.

Mildly concerned? Always. Panic time? Not really.

Yeah, its the hometown team. But UCLA sucks, and HAS sucked for a long time now. USC has run SoCal now for a long time, and UCLA, while a great school, is not exactly the place to showcase your skills before a national audience.

The ONLY thing here that can work against us is the distance. EVERYTHING else favors us. We are CLEARLY a program on the rise, whereas UCLA looks to be in the same mediocrity it has been for decades. We offered him first. We made him a national name, and stuck by him, and handed him the keys to this class. UCLA treated him like an afterthought, and even AFTER all this time, NOW they get around to offering him? After they struck out with all their other options? Flattered? ****, Kaaya should be INSULTED. F*CK UCLA.

As smart and thoughtful as this kid and his mother have been, I would be EXTREMELY disappointed if he screwed us over for UCLA. HOmetown team or not, they have treated him like plan D all along, and why go waste away in a mediocre program that isnt even the main draw in its own city?? When you have a chance to jump on board a championship program that is clearly reestablishing itself as a national power, and on the rise?

Do u actually follow college football?

Pulled howard from gaytors
Pulled bush from bama
Pulled aqm from errybody
Pulled coley from errybody

That's 3 SoFla kids & a recruit from NJ who couldn't get into his #1 school. Not hating.. Just saying it's different.

Who was aqm 1st choice?

UM fans are under the impression, with no facts to support it, that AQM would have been at ND but for an academic issue.

I don't know whether to rep or neg you for using the word facts in this ****** thread. To the porsters: Kid got an offer from his local dream school growing up. He is incredibly honored and neither him nor his momma are going to do anything to disrespect them. But if any of you don't think he is coming to play here after the way the relationship with us has been BUILT by Coley, you haven't been following it too closely, or gotten a real sense for this family and how they value trust and commitment.

Put me in the camp that Kaaya instantly sucks if he goes to UCLA. Also, his offer from us was never legit.

Oh, and he has bad grades.

ND message board fans were strong in spewing this message. Hey, at least we beat out Bama.

Not worry about Kaaya bolting. We should be good with QB (at least 2 deep) for the next 3-4 years and maybe beyond depending on how Rosier develop and whatever blue chip recruits we will get because of the way we are playing and will be playing the next few years.

Not sure why it rustles jimmies.. We signed an elite DL out of Jersey who is contributing to an undefeated Miami team as a true freshman... the "why" part of him being here is irrelevant. (Thank you ND calculus standards :crownpour: )

Agreed. He certainly doesn't seem sad or upset he chose Miami judging by how he acts on the sidelines after the play. I personally don't think the grades thing Is really what happened but let ND fans hold on to whatever they can, their fame is up and they are heading back to mediocrity.

Good Lord 6 pages of nonsense because a kid got an offer.

i am actually happy he got an offer. i am sure its an honor for him to get an offer from his hometown team and i congratulate him as it must feel great. it was strange that they hadn't offered. now we know that our staff was working overtime while UCLA was doing who knows what.
