Anybody know which bowls get the second or third best ACC teams at the end of the season?

ACC Bowl Ties

Notre Dame is eligible for any ACC bowl tie-in as long as it’s within one game of the team eligible for the slot, except the Orange Bowl.

The ACC gets a team in the Orange Bowl. It’s the ACC champion if it’s not in the College Football Playoff. If the ACC plays the Big Ten in the Orange Bowl, the opportunity will be there for another opening in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.

1. Capital One Orange Bowl vs. Big Ten or SEC or Notre Dame.
Note: Since the Big Ten played in the last Orange Bowl, the SEC will likely play in it this season – but it’s not a sure thing. Both the Big Ten and SEC are guaranteed three appearances each over a 12-year span.

2. Camping World Bowl vs. Big 12

First Tier

– Belk Bowl vs. SEC
– Hyundai Sun Bowl vs. Pac-12
– New Era Pinstripe Bowl vs. Big Ten
– Franklin American Mortgage Music City vs. SEC OR TaxSlayer Bowl vs. SEC
It’s one or the other along with the Big Ten. In 2015, the ACC played in the Music City and the Big Ten was in the TaxSlayer. In 2016, the ACC was in the TaxSlayer and the Big Ten in the Music City. The ACC will likely be in the Music City this season.

Second Tier

– Camping World Independence Bowl vs. SEC
– Military Bowl vs. American Athletic
– Quick Lane Bowl vs. Big Ten
– St. Petersburg Bowl
Conditional if American Athletic or Conference USA can’t fill the spot.
– Birmingham Bowl
Conditional if American Athletic or SEC can’t fill the spot.

I wish bowls were still named regular things so I knew how to feel about them. All corporate named bowls can eat a ****.

Are you somehow confused about the need to slay taxes? And camping, who doesn't like camping? Especially when you team it up with independence...match made in heaven.

And for what it's worth, I saw us penciled in for the OB vs. UGA as the #2 in the ACC.

If we don't make the playoff and are runner UPS in ACC we will be in Orange bowl against Ohio St or UGA most likely

If we finish top 3 we'll be in the Orange Bowl because we're in Miami. Florida State being in florida is basically how they got the OB bid while VT was tossed into the Belk bowl. Same way how we got a better bowl then VT last year. Location is part of the bowl selection process because these bowl want to draw the teams that will bring the most fans and money and Miami in the orange Bowl for the first time in almost 15 years would be a no brainier.
